2 for one scripts! The Boy who Defied Hitler

I read most of The Boy who Defied Hitler. I didn’t read it all the way through because the writing does need work (hence the reason I assume you posted to this forum). Based on what I’ve read from the first few pages I understood the primary conflict from the beginning, which is excellent. Your...

    Writing in Songs

Here is the context so I can justify my screenplay wrongdoings. :) This is a rough draft of course. I have yet to finish. I would like your feedback. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3ao_wKBjPNJR0FHS0ttZHV3dXc/view?usp=sharing

    Writing in Songs

I am writing a feature length screenplay and can't help but insert specific songs I feel would fit into the picture. Now I know that the professionals would tell me to leave it out and let the Director make those choices, but I can't help it! I was wondering what other screenwriters think...

[Apr 24] What are you working on this week?

I am making my first attempt at writing a feature length screenplay and so far I am almost done writing Act I. So far so good. I will come back to you if I get hung up in the next few acts but I am happy so far with what has transpired in 18 pages.

What We Did This Summer (Coming-of-age drama)

I did not read past the first page. Best advice is to rewrite, but do so with two points in mind: 1. Understand that each line of action must move the character and the story forward. 2. You are writing images. That is what we and others WANT to read. Images. Happy writing.

What makes a history film great and attractive?

It is simple. Characters make these movies great! My best advice to you is to write the screenplay before finding anyone to produce or direct. Happy writing.

Anyone Willing to Critique the 1st 22 pages of my Sci-fi drama/thriller feature?

I stopped reading when you mentioned within the action that your characters were "talking" then I proceeded to read their dialogue. It is unnecessary and bogs down the pace of your story. Additionally use that action after you write your scene heading to establish what we are looking at and...

    NEED FEEDBACK ON CHINA-HOLLYWOOD CO-PRODUCTION

Would you post a copy of the screenplay to this website? That is the best way for me personally to give any helpful feedback.

Is it a big no-no to make it all a dream?

There is no such thing as a "no-no" in writing and there should be no boundaries or restrictions on your creativity and imagination. It sounds like you're asking if this works as an ending, but I cannot know that because I do not know the story or your characters. My best advice without reading...

    Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

It was a movie that was written for people to enjoy and produced for people to enjoy and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Kudos to all of those who worked hard to create Force Awakens!

I have written a 20 pages script which is an unfinished movie. What to do?

Unfortunately our industry does't purchase or produce stories without third acts and if your screenplay is unfinished then surely nobody will purchase it. You could sell your story and your screenplay but like I said before; it needs an ending. As a consolation to your anticipated...

    Screenplay no 2

You should download CELTX. It is free and formats beautifully. I like the direction of the story but you should try acting out these characters and saying your words out loud. That may help you more than my critiques could. Happy writing friend.

1st Draft - Any and all feedback is welcome… even the crazy stuff.

Thank you for the feedback, EngelsProduction and Stefanovic. Ray Bradbury actually wrote the character's sudden acceptance of murder into the story which I too found somewhat off, but then I took a step back and realized that George did commit a murder just as real and tangible as anything else...
