I am just starting to look for some lights. A friend of mine recommended strobe lights, but he does mainly photography, not film. What I need to be able to do is adjust the intensity of the light as needed. Can anyone recommend anything?

You cant exactly see these things in walmart, so I need a bit of help on what I need to look out for. And maybe someone can recommend one for fight scenes and such?
