For most trailers I have seen, they always have this either PG or R rating in the beginning. When do people get the rate of the movie done? How? I notice they are rated by Filmrating.com or mpaa.org? Thanks!

when authorizing to a DVD, do you guys place production company logos/names before the movie starts?

I was told that it is better to have a letterbox (blackbar on the top and bottom) before finalizing the movie to make it look more like a film, is that true? I shot my film in 16:9 HD video and now I think I will have some composition problems if I letterbox it.

What does typical daily rate mean - 8 hours? 10 hours? 12 hours? And half day? Anything less than 5 hours? What about 2 hour shoot at night? Does that count as half day mostly? Thanks
