    Super 8mm

Searching around my house, I stumbled upon a Bell & Howell Super 8mm film camera, a Bell & Howell 8/Super 8mm film projector, a Sixon light meter, a few projector bulbs and a 3 way Super 8mm/8mm/16mm Cement Splicer. All work. So I figured my next project would be someting small and shoot it on...

    watch USC/NYU film application

You'd be surprised what some of these schools might accept. They probably see bundles of films that suck and maybe a handful that are great. I'm not sure if this is the way USC or NYU do it, but sometimes schools need to fill a required number of students for a class, picking all the great ones...

    Video Production

These are great! There is another meme template called 'Indie Filmmaker' or something, not the best picture but still pretty funny. I quickly put this one together haha

    Fake Blood

Make it if you can. (After all you are an Indie Filmmaker, saving money is always good) Chocolate Syrup always works as a great base. And if the actors don't want to ruin their clothes, Laundry Detergent. Easier to clean! Mix and experiment. But with the detergent, ask the actors before hand...

Yeah all I did was shoot them an email. I was great when they said I could use it, because I didn't expect them to let me use it for free. Thanks:)

watch Something's Abstract - Very Proud of My First Short Film!

In all honesty, none. I have lived in a small town for all my life, haven't really been in the film scene. But I'm now studying at a University in a larger city and have only been to a couple local film screenings. But yeah, I've never attended or entered any film festival - This one would be...

watch Something's Abstract - Very Proud of My First Short Film!

Hey all! I'm a University Student, studying Theatre. But one of my main passions, is Filmmaking. During my first semester I managed to produce a short slient film, it runs quick but I took some time to plan and edit this thing (I edited a few drafts of the film). This is my first finished...

    AVCHD - Editing Software Suggestions

I'm wondering if anybody has any suggestions for an editing program that supports imported AVCHD files. I found a few editors I can pick up, like: - Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus HD/3D - Adobe Premiere Elements 9 (Didn't know if this was more of a Special Effects program) - Avid Studio - Vegas...

If this does not get in and does not become a success, I would gladly give you funding for a sequal. Does anyone know the actual price to send a film into Sundance?

    I'd like to say hello!

I created this account a while ago, but since I now have a fancy camera and all, I'm hoping to be on here more. I'm really into filmmaking, like the rest of you and I really enjoy writing as well! I hope to gain as much tips as I can from this fourm. It's awesome to have a community like this...

17 year old directs $2.7 million grossing film

Yeah I thought the same, after reading this: Maybe his head grew too big to quickly, which is a shame cause the film kinda impressed me for a 19 year old's first feature film as a director. Here is the trailer Oh yeah, and grossing $77,000 is not a bad accomplishment either haha

Looking for ideas on how to Promote my first Feature

Love how you have frogger on the website. But sad to say, frogger doesn't make me want to watch your movie... it makes me want to play frogger. Internet, today is a big thing in promoting movies. Ever since The Blair Witch Project (which was probably a better promotional stunt than a film)...
