If you were writing a novel you would hide the names so the reader gets the pay off with the reveal. A script is something completely different, its not read for enjoyment it is a set of instructions for making the film. So use the character's name from the start.

You can find many many ...many videos about this sort of thing on youtube that could give you ideas. It does sound a lot like the kinda documentaries Richard Dawkins does so I would try and make it more personal and about your own experiences if I were you.

you just need to experiment filming as much as you can. If you like narratives maybe try writing aswell. Dont worry about the tripod, they are all standard and fit every camera.

i'm really confused about what this film is meant to be about. A guy wakes up in a desert, follows a light, it turns out to be a flying robot which is also his lost puppy? then you start talking about this girl. I cant see any type of narrative, you just have an odd situation then no story.

For me its normally really late and night when i should be sleeping. Something about the silence and feeling completely alone in the world that sets my imagination off. I will also listen to music whatever fits the mood of what i'm writing.
