    top-list Your Top 10 Films.

Well there doesn't seem to be a recent thread about this. And hell it'd be an interesting set of posts. My list, as is everyone's I'm sure, is ever changing. But as far as inspiration it's pretty concrete so far: 10. The 400 Blows 9. A Clockwork Orange 8. GoodFellas 7. There Will Be Blood 6...

    editing What's your poison?

I had been using FCPX for everything ever since I got my 7D. It was very frustrating, took way too long to export and had very few capabilities. Two months ago I started using Premiere and it is unbelievably so much better. Much easier to use, and provides a lot more professional editing...

    Question about blue ray players.

All this technical talk. As long as I have my 1999 Zenith, a Samsung Blu-ray player and an AV cable I'm a happy man.

movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

Boogie Nights- 9/10 Filmmaking at its most powerful, most brilliant and most original. One of the best films of the 90's. In my opinion it's on par with GoodFellas in its amazing energy and spirit.

    DSLR's

They're incredible, versatile and if you shoot/edit right, it can even look like film. Try to shoot at the highest resolution possible, and don't shake too much, the DSLRs suffer from the horrible Jello effect. (things bend when the camera swipes across the screen).

If The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo, were an indie, would it do well?

Well let's see. The story- regardless if we're talking about the Swedish or American adaptation- is, well, the basic Scooby Doo formula. There's no real "Wow, that's new" factor. On top of that there's subplots involving rape, murder, torture and extended cheerless sexuality. The Swedish film...

movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

That's bizarre, I saw it at a dollar theater too on that same night. Huh. The Artist-8/10 Second viewing. Appreciated it much more. Cinematography is top-notch gorgeous, the plot could not have been executed better and the whole atmosphere/vibe of the movie was so cheery. Great to appreciate...
