    Film Festivals with High Acceptance Rates

    There are some local film groups that have open film screenings. While not a festival, you can get some good feedback and occasionally a decent size audience. Depending on which ones, there are occasional people in the industry who attend.

    Did not say how legal it was. Only telling what happened. Would not be surprised if others do to a limited degree. I wasn't associated with it, but was at a screening a while after it won and had one of the producers explain what they did.

    There have been several who have used public places from public parks to cemeteries. Some have a collection of costumes. One who won years ago had a portion of the story or concept written with the ability to adapt to the chosen keyword and genre.

    We have Direct TV and during storms, sometimes you can only get the Standard Definition channel. Also, we bought several HD TVs when they were still very expensive. Not buying another TV until one dies or can show a big need.

    I have to agree with Rik regarding promotional literature, but normally wouldn't think you would have a problem. However, you stated, " their corporation has significantly re-organized." Someone could be in charge who might have no sense of humor or greedy.

    Few questions concerning gear for a documentary

    As others have said in the past, it is not just having the gear but being able to use it properly. You will need others to help, because it is extremely difficult to try and do everything by yourself. It is hard to monitor sound while filming and interviewing.
