    Advice on writter's block?

Honestly, I never write with an idea in mind. All it takes is one scene that pops in to mind, and it can be anywhere in the story. Once that scene sets the pace, I know what genre it falls into and I tend to write a few other scenes for the charachters that are not related to the one already...

    Shoot ghost

If you can do it right, It can work very well, look at the original version of The Haunting. You never see the ghosts and it worked perfect. As far as the original question, how about filming seperatly, then throwing it together in after effects like you would if cloning. You could have the...

    creating a sci-fi planet

The only suggestion I could tell you, which has been suggested already, is to look for cool places around you. Any state or national parks with some cool landscapes?

    archived-videos Heist

The film is blurry at 0:38 because I'm used to an autofocusing handycam. I shot this with a t3i the day I got it, and quite frankly forgot to focus it. I'm kind of dumb like that :) This was basically just done to learn the camera a bit. And yes, there were a few nickles and dimes in the piggy bank.

    GUNS

DO NOT CONCEAL IT. Real or not, most places will still consider it brandishing at the very least, and you can catch a felony at worst. It doesn't matter if it is real or fake. If it looks real, the police will respond to it as being real if called. Trying to conceal it will just make things...

Pretty good. Some convincing looking hits. We probably have the same sense of humor as well, I was laughing at the end.

    It's all just so daunting!

As a fellow noob, I can only recommend following their advice and make a bunch of shorts. everything I have done so far is purely for experience. I make a 1 minute flick and notice the sound needs work, I make another and notice the lighting is off, another and I notice that it gets out of focus...

    Hello from Missouri

I don't know Cohen Phillips, I'm not originally from St. Joe. I have a few stories that are fighting it out for honor/curse of being my first. 1) A guy with some strong depression issues kills himself, the same day his wife finds out she is pregnant, and he vows to watch over her and their...

    Hello from Missouri

Just wanted to say hello. I am as new to this as you can possibly get. My experience consists of mainly making goofy home movies with my kids, but decided to start taking things more seriously as I have to many stories that I want to tell.
