Saw an amazing doc the other night which I think most on this board would love. It's called OVERNIGHT and follows the self-destructive Troy Duffy as he tries to make BOONDOCK SAINTS. Some might remember he's the guy for whom Miramax bought him the bar where he tended. He falls, and falls BIG...

archived-videos YOU ARE ALONE music video - ADULT CONTENT

Wow! I'll take that review. Thank you. I tried to do that a lot in the film, taking what should be a very hot sexual scene and covering with very disturbing depressing music. Or lighter music over a disturbing scene. Hoping that it would clue in viewers that all is not what it seems. The...

Yeah, the recording was definitely lo-fi...but that's my tastes. Personal preferences. I actually used a demo version of the theme song, instead of the mastered completed one. Punk at heart, y'know! And thanks, Christopher!

Interesting...it took me about 3 minutes for the entire thing up download, then play perfectly. This is a huge file in the new FLASH...honestly we could put it in Quicktime, but it would be a fraction of the size and quality. I'm actually VERY impressed with both, and how Flash got it to play...

    You Are Alone

Yes, 24p 16x9 And we also shot two camera most of the time. One note (learn from my mistake)...if you don't already, make sure you have a dedicated b-camera operator...someone who JUST does that. We passed the B-cam around from the first AC, to both me and my co-producer. Never...

    You Are Alone

Thanks...my fingers are crossed for a Chicago screening this summer. I will post it, if it happens. We shot on a DXV100a. Nice little camera. And if you want to see more (like the original trailer, a hidden behind-the-scene clip, LOTS of fun stuff) definitely check out the film's site...

    You Are Alone

Carol, thanks for the info...I wrote you an email privately with my response. But seriously, I just checked again, and there is no place on your site to CONTACT you, until AFTER you fill out the GET BULLETINS page. I truly suggest a very simple EMAIL US or CONTACT US link at the bottom of...

archived-videos YOU ARE ALONE music video - ADULT CONTENT

Mikey, First off thanks for the kind words. I'm especially proud of the music in YOU ARE ALONE. I really took my time with every track. Now, as for your complaint...this was actually my intent. That you'd almost have to watch the video 3 times, once for the text, once for the images, once...

    You Are Alone

Thanks! It's pretty depressing... As for tech specs, shot on the DVX100a, edited on Avid, no special effects at all. (Not even any color correction.) Wait, take that back, I slowed clips down, and of course the double exposure and split screen stuff. But that's all.

Hey...just posted a music video for YOU ARE ALONE in the screening room. Let me know what you think! Does it make you want to see the film?

archived-videos YOU ARE ALONE music video - ADULT CONTENT

Greetings...since you liked the trailer I posted a while back, here's a sneak peek at a music video I did for a song from YOU ARE ALONE. Not a typical music video, but more of a long trailer with great music. (The band needed a video, I used mainly outtakes and alt. takes from the film to...

And...let us not forget...Bethel is also birthplace of Meg Ryan. I will initiate contact, and post the results. If you don't hear back in a few days, send out the rescue hounds.

    You Are Alone

Bob, yes, I've already had coffee with and handed my screener to Melissa Basagni, the new artistic director of the fest. So, my fingers are crossed. As for the Bethel Fest...I don't know...I was born and raised in CT, and most people I ask don't even know where Bethel is. I'm having problems...

anyone watching the new Project Greenlight

No, I honestly believe great reality TV (most seasons of Survivor, for example), are exciting throughout. I just feel the editing/directing of the series, especially toward the end was lame. I do think a good editor/director (or the program) could have made it at least a little more...

Question RE: SAG rules for video VS film

If you're still talking about a feature film shot on video, with intended theatrical release (in the best of worlds)...there's no difference. www.YouAreAlone.com

anyone watching the new Project Greenlight

Yeah, my disappointment was in the final episode as TV entertainment...sort of like a movie that has a lame ending. They tried to build up the Miramax/Disney divorce thing, but it didn't work for me as conflict...thus there was none, as as we all know, no conflict, no story. I think my feeling...
