    Most popular sites for casting?

I produced a 90 minute movie about 15 years ago. About 85% to 90% of actors couldn't act or just didn't look the part. The people who had done theater were definitely a cut above the rest. Back then I would get 200 submissions for a role from NowCasting. Nowadays about 5 submissions. Not sure...

    social-media YouTube giving creators $0

PewDiePie was regarded by the left as harmless in the beginning. Now that he's amassed millions of subscribers there is nothing YouTube can do to stop him as he sometimes ventures into political commentary. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dICPJypfegc

    editing After Effects help

Anyone know what tool(s) I would use to warp a video clip in AE in this manner? I am only able to manipulate a mask in this shape. Of course the mask doesn't effect the warping of the video clip.

editing Video editing software that imports Pro Res

I'm using all kinds of clips from VideoBlocks. QuickTime, AVI, etc. It wasn't a ProRes clip that I was tweeking when it crashed. Proxy server? In AE it's called "contrast". In Resolve I forget what it's called.

editing Video editing software that imports Pro Res

Hooked up the secondary drive, re-linked clips in my timeline to the clips on the secondary drive, cranked up the blue color, then I tried to tweek the contrast. It froze up for a about 4 seconds then the program crashed. I'm convinced that I just have to do any color correcting in After Effects...

editing Video editing software that imports Pro Res

Just playing a clip, working with it in the timeline, etc is basically accessing a video file, just as adjusting it's color properties. Seems strange that adjusting the color would suddenly cause it not to be able to "catch up with" or keep pace the editing program.

Maybe just adding a second drive inside the machine via a SATA port? Might need to add a fan inside too. I just bought this PC about 6 months ago. Dell XPS 8930

editing Video editing software that imports Pro Res

Well I upgraded to 16 GB of RAM. Resolve is still crashing. This last time it did it was when I had done some color correction to a clip, then additionally tried to adjust the contrast setting. Boom! Program closed out! Too bad, because I really liked the feel of this Resolve video editing...

legal How do you protect your work?

Do NOT use the Writer's Guild! They destroy your script if you won't renew (for yet another fee) after 5 years. The US Copyright office NEVER destroys what people submit. So your best bet if you want to register it is to the the US Copyright office. Otherwise your hard drive is your evidence...

    Lens for short focal length

I watched some YouTube demos. I wound up ordering the Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS. Only $238. I like that it has image stabilization, which the Sony A6300 camera itself does not have.

    Lens for short focal length

I'm basically wanting to interview people with this lens. Shots like this... https://assets.entrepreneur.com/content/3x2/2000/1413830260-interview-questions.jpg?width=700&crop=2:1

    Lens for short focal length

Newbe question: What specs would I need to look for when shopping for a lens that gives you that short focal length so that you can blur the background behind a subject that you are filming? Is it the F stop? Would I look for F1.4 or something like that? I'm lens shopping for my Sony A6300.

    Amazon did it again.

Prior to March of 2018 Amazon paid 16 cents per streamed hour of Amazon Prime content. Do you have an article link regarding this most recent change?

No. That illustrates my point perfectly that they have a DOUBLE STANDARD. Big tech is in bed with Big Hollywood.

    Amazon Prime Video Removing Titles

My film is a COMEDY that these progressive, unhinged social justice warriors would label as "sexist", promoting "racial stereotypes", "hate speech", topless nudity, glorifies drug use, has abusing language, etc. These people would get triggered over films like Airplane and Kentucky Fried Movie...

    Amazon Prime Video Removing Titles

Uhhh You Hillary supporters are the PC snowflakes who need safe spaces when you don't like other people's free speech. Also where in this thread does it say that my movie wasn't making any money?

editing Video editing software that imports Pro Res

I don't think the crashing is because of lack of RAM. It doesn't crash during playback. The last time it crashed I was simply clicking from the color page to the edit page.
