Should I shoot a whole movie green screen?

Oh. I say don't worry about it right now. You'll do other projects in between and forget or, who knows, you might rewrite the script and take it a completely different way. Good luck on that!

Learning Filmmaking Through Special Features - List

The documentary "Empire of Dreams" on the Star Wars DVD Boxset (the one from 2004) might not tell much to the "making" of films, but it does inform people of the business side of filmmaking, and it shows how Lucas got the film off the ground. The Making of Star Wars is pretty good for FX...

Should I shoot a whole movie green screen?

I think I've seen a precinct with cubicles before, but even if I haven't, I think you can get the point across with cubicles. And four minutes, to me, is a lot. Especially considering I'm working on a film right now that tops out at five minutes. How long is this film?

movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

Funny that you mention The Village, because I read the book it ripped off about a year ago. Basically the same thing, but NOT nearly as dumb. Basically, those "monsters" are no where in it. I thought there was enough creative difference to be considered its own thing, but apparently not. I...

    Ray Bradbury RIP

I've always wanted to do film adaptations of some of the short stories in The Martian Chronicles, and The Golden Apples of the Sun. Also, I wouldn't mind giving Fahrenheit 451 a film redemption....

    Ray Bradbury RIP

I was pretty upset when I heard this, him being my favorite fiction writer and all..... I posted a RIP for him on my facebook, and I'll do it here too. Mr. Bradbury, thank you for immersing us in your wonderful characters, prose, and worlds. Thank you for introducing me to short stories as a...

Should I shoot a whole movie green screen?

What parts of the prison is shown in the film, exactly? Like all of them. Because the way it sounds, you could, like someone else said, just use an office or something like that for their office. Now, the cells and the escape does sound more challenging, because you'd probably have to use it...

movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

I've been doing what most writers suggest, which is observing good screenplays, and bad ones. So, to well familiarize myself with bad ones, I decided to pick up a couple of Ed Wood movies. At first I thought it would be torture, but I actually thought it was fun! Plan 9 is definitely not Citizen...

Urgent ADVICES/suggestions for a screenplay deal.

Now back to me being productive.... Writer here... I don't see how releasing your book would get you any exposure, unless you pubbed with Simon and Schuster or HarperCollins or another one of the big six, and even some well-known authors don't pub with them. Matter a fact, I don't think King...

Sorry about the rudeness or my posts, but that was bouncing off the way I read your one post. I assumed you were trolling, and trolls are never well-received on forums. And sorry for taking your post the wrong way.

Kinda reminded me of that scene in The Matrix. Regardless, I thought it was shot well, and I thought the dialog was well written. Don't know what the ending was supposed to mean, though. Is the guy a slave to filmmaking? Overall: Pretty good to be a 1:10

I thought he was being sincere until he started arguing with people that know more about the process than him.

Urgent ADVICES/suggestions for a screenplay deal.

Oh definitely. Not even a good one. One time on another forum, I saw a troll that at least made me think on some sort of philosophical level. I was almost sad when the Admin took the banhammer to 'em.

Urgent ADVICES/suggestions for a screenplay deal.

Yeah, you ain't got an inside look on deals for concepts alone. Y'know, the ones that don't exist? And I hate that I don't have access to movies based on novels without the author's permission. Damn me. ;) And I'm with Cracker Funk. I love this thread. :D

I don't see what's funny about you being rude to someone who's trying to help you.

Urgent ADVICES/suggestions for a screenplay deal.

Let me get this straight. Are you basically asking if a novel has rights to it that can't be used without permission of the author (or persuasion and helluva lot of money)? If so, yes, yes, yes. Unless the novel is in the public domain, you cannot create a film version of it without the...

Wonderful productions. I subscribed. And by the way, even though you do say that you won't accept hand-outs, I think with over 7700 subscribers and over 350K views you're eligible for the Youtube partner program. Just a thought.

Natural Born Killers Too trippy for my taste.

    archived-videos First Horror Short

Interesting take. Nice looking intro and shots. Wasn't that crazy about the shaky-cam at the end, but that's a bit of a recent fad that I don't even like in hollywood pictures (like Star Trek 2009, for example) Nice work altogether.

treatment The rough Draft of my treatment

Gotta echo Recoil to a certain extent. This is a bit ambitious IF YOU WANT TO BE THE DIRECTOR. As a screenwriter, I think you're fine. This could be your damn breakout script, which would be fantastic. If you market the film with the idea of you being the WRITER--as in you're trying to sell it...
