    LOOKING FOR PRODUCER!!!

Details? I'd like to know exactly what it is I'm looking into before contacting you about it. As mentioned several times before, you neglect to state what you want in a producer...

movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

I agree 100% about that--Burton's FIRST film is probably superior to both as a superhero film. I'm a huge fan of crime movies, which is why I love TDK. As for the its predecessor...not redeeming. I was wondering what sort of gas they put in the theaters to get people to like it.

    Anyone seen Spiderman?

Better yet, is it better than The Dark Knight? I highly doubt that anyone thinks it's better than the Nolan films.

Having a killer idea and realizing it's already a film

James Cameron doesn't mind beating a dead theme. :D "I'm going to call this movie Avatar! And it will be unique...or, sort of. It's not like District 9, Dances with Wolves and Pocahontas all use the same damn theme! I'm the genius!" -_-

    Warner Brothers will reboot Batman.

I'm bookmarking this convo so I can read the whole thing once I see the movie. :D

Having a killer idea and realizing it's already a film

That's actually happened to me several times before, while writing. I got this wonderful idea of an actor being terrorized by a fan... ...look it up just to make sure it hasn't been done before: "Misery, by Stephen King" Damn. Ironically, I'm a fan of King and that was one of the few books...

Will audiences hate my hero in this case?

That sounds a lot like the introduction of a villain to me.

movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

Sorry to ruin the sequence of TDKR reviews with my review of a particular horrible film... Howard the Duck It's NOT so bad it's good. It's so bad that it's drek. It's so bad that I feel like if certain actors and actresses didn't have roles to follow this already, it would've killed their...

archived-videos My Star Wars Short Spoof.

Good. I'm glad I wasn't laughing for the wrong reason. As for the spfx, I think the sabre looks the best. The roto-scoping is kinda there, but it's still missing it a little. Still, pretty good for a test.

Obviously this was just a test... Is the voice for the opening crawl supposed to sound so monotone?

Aunt Beadie serves Uncle Ron apple pie... ...and he fucking hates apple pie! LOL. I'm near brain-dead right now anyway from watching Howard the Duck.

archived-videos I'm very proud of this short film...

Wasn't quite my cup of tea. I dunno. Growing up, I had to hear about people dying in DDAs all the time, and since it was a small town, everyone heard about EACH one. And it was sort of creepy for me considering one of those guys looks oddly similar to one of the guys I knew... I did laugh at...

Need some help with short film script

I was wondering if it was something of a regional thing. It never rang exactly right to me.

    Difficulty writing

Okay... I've been a member on several forums. One of them is a writing forum, as I've been a short story and novella writer for a year now. Personally, I can tell you this: no matter what you write, no matter what the material is, if you want it to be decent, you'll have a hard time writing it...

archived-videos UP and COMING filmmaker check this out

Courteney, I'm not going to critique the actors because there really isn't a reason to. Yes, they were bad, but on a low-budget project you can't exactly get Oscar winners. I thought the shots were nice, and I liked the black and white. I agree with DirectorIK on the color palate, though. I...

    Getting actors?

Yeah, I really was open to try anything, basically, except craig'slist. I keep thinking I'll get some psychotic actor to come on set. that wouldn't exactly be what i was going for. And thanks for the links. I'll check that top one out.

I need help with this short script: The Custodian of Time

Link: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5KIP0XApNuISWF2NGhfNHhqOEU/edit This is an edit that changes the dialog, improves on the action and makes things less nonsensical. I hope that there's something in there you guys can praise amongst the many things to critique. Thanks, guys. Y'all are the...

I need help with this short script: The Custodian of Time

This isn't exactly my first time being critiqued. I've been critiqued several times, and I've done a bit of it myself. If someone replies to you in an asinine manner after you critique their work, off with their head. Only reason to dispute a critique is if they actually skipped stuff and...

I need help with this short script: The Custodian of Time

Ehm, what? Not sure what you're saying. (Maybe I should go back to your thread and see what I said). Other than that I thought your review of the script was exactly what I needed. Thanks. EDIT: I'm not the person that said Dylan was just a typical guy. :D And nothing in your post angers me...
