    Firefly?

Firefly / Serenity was great. Loved it. Haven't watched any other Whedon work, though. I keep hearing good things about the Buffy series, so I may have to give that a try eventually.

    Kind of a beating.

Battle Beyond the Stars is my favorite "Seven Samurai" remake. Have not seen the original though it is on my list of movies to get to soon (along with the rest of the Kurasawa catalog).

What is a good original plot for a super hero movie?

    1. The origin of how the town of D'Lo, Mississippi got its name 2. How the superhero used his powers to help the Saints win the Superbowl 3. Trent Lott is really an alien 4. Brett Favre finds a relic on his Mississippi farmland that turns him in to a superhero. He spends the next several years...

    Most Intense Scenes

The ending of "The Doom Generation." Pretty much all of "The Girl Next Door" (not the high-school comedy one...the other one) The downward spiral to hell that is "Martyrs."

    Now In Production . . .

I can already tell that I am going to love this movie.

Working on an ending for a short script...?

The key would be - what is the "feel" for this project. Are you going more for an emotional study of these two characters? If so, then twisty endings may not be the most appropriate choice. Josh's suggestion of the straightforward ending - she is arrested, he is left alone - seems like the most...

Just a quick shout out congrats to our music and sound guy - Charles - who had his first composition picked up for a TV show background score! Way to GO!

    Emma Watson

I bet Kiera would make a great ventriloquist, because she always talks through clenched teeth. Sorry for the derail, let's get back to the subject of Emma Watson. ... ... yeah, I got nothing.

    Favourite Vampire Movie

    Oh, the irony!

    Favourite Vampire Movie

I'm currently kind of partial to the Hammer vampire classics of the 70s.

    Movie about fingers

The king finger demands that his subjects bow down to him. Three of the four subjects comply, but the tallest one refuses.

    Atlas Shrugged

100% agree. After about 10 pages of the same thought expressed in a thousand variations, I skipped past the rest of it to the end (of the speech). I enjoyed the rest of the book, though.

    Another Lethal Blow . . .

You are in New York City. You should be able to find a replacement pretty easily! It may push your production schedule back a bit, but you'll still get there. BTW - how's my old neighborhood? I used to live on Booth Street.

Who wants to help me write a script?

A quick Google search of "Zombie Western" reveals that your idea is already out there.

Woody Allen - Where should I start?

I always like to start at the beginning and work your way chronologically through the filmography so you can observe the growth and development of the director.

    Police Car Rental - Chicago

Good point. You absolutely MUST discuss it with the local law enforcement so they are fully aware of what you're up to. And if you talk with them about it, you could always ask for their help - maybe from an off-duty volunteer. The worst they could do is say NO...unless they're in a bad mood...

    Philosophy books?

Just about anything by Ayn Rand features her views on objectivism. The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged are the most well known. The Fountainhead is an easier read, but Atlas Shrugged is ultimately more rewarding, although it sometimes seems a bit silly by how dated it is.

cinematography The Hobbit at 48 fps

http://www.totalfilm.com/news/peter-jackson-is-shooting-the-hobbit-at-48-frames-per-second Just throwing it out for discussion. Any thoughts on this? Do you agree that the difference will be as significant as Jackson claims?
