When you said a story within a story, my mind went straight to the Tarantino approach. Start off with the soldier's story, then cut to the wizard's story and then show how the two intertwine... etc... I think that would be a decent way to blend all this together. Anyway, there are some good...

For me it's just getting my first short made, which I just did last week. I learned a lot and made tons of mistakes, but the best part was hearing several positive comments about it. That said, I'm hoping for bigger achievements in the future... but at least I've got something to build on now.

That's great if it works for you. I tried doing my first short recently (only 3 scenes) with the list only in my head and it didn't go so well... detailed lists for me from now on. I like Eastwood's stance on input from others. You're crazy if you think you're the only one with a good idea...
