Dvd Studio Pro is good for what you're doing. Has a moderate learning curve until you try doing more complex builds. Otherwise iDVD might work for you which is free with new Macs or is included in the iLife Suite. That's of course assuming you're on a Mac.

That's a conspiracy theory that has yet to be proven. I wouldn't put it past Microsoft but I wouldn't accept this as fact until there is some proof.

I'm still debating. I like the idea of HD-DVD better but I suspect Blu-Ray may win out. Maybe I'll just get each and deal with it later.

I find it interesting (and this is only an observation, not to pick a fight) that the vast majority of BD owners actually own the PS3, a game console, as opposed to a traditional set top player.

Lynda.com offers video tutorials on many programs including Shake. There is a monthly subscription fee for the site but it does offer training for a lot of programs.

How easy was Shake for you to pick up? I upgraded to FCS2 when it was released but can barely figure out Color. It's a tough program and from what I've seen of Shake it looks equally tough.
