archived-videos Tough To Kill - An acton movie about a reluctant hero

Everything I was going to say about this film has already been mentioned, both the good and the bad. The main thing I wanted to say was kudos on even attempting something like this! With a little work on pace and basic production value, I think you are on to something good here...keep going by...

    archived-videos Project: Sin

This guy cracks me up! He does a great job with the character...he needs to be on a tv series like Supernatural. Great job so far...keep going!

    archived-videos Project: Sin

I like where you are going with this video, lust personafied. It's a fun idea and definitely not hard to look at lol! This would have worked better, especially with the length of the video, if it had been intercut with examples of what she was talking about. Example: When she is talking...

    archived-videos "8" - an award winning short film (2010)

The production value was very good, everything from image to sound was done very well. The story itself was amusing, as mentioned before, the pace could have been a little quicker IMHO. My only real complaint was the dialogue, or lack there of. Why did the soldier with the rifle sound like...

archived-videos Junkyard Jesús - Red One short film

I like the story and the reveal at the end was fun, although a quicker cut after the reveal would have given it a stronger punch...but it worked either way. Production value over all was awesome, but I want to point out something that most people don't discuss much...the sound. You did a...

    archived-videos MONSTER - A Character Montage

As a character montage it works, but I wouldn't stay with those effects except for the characters dreams or maybe his POV from time to time. Could be distracting for a full three act film. With that said, the character could be a fun one to write. Good Luck!

    Does these effects look convincing?

Yes that is a good approach for sure, getting as much in camera as possible will save you a ton of head ache in post.

    archived-videos Over Authority (Preview)

Looks interesting, just a thought to help you out. To give your film a little more gritty and dangerous feel, which is the vibe I got from the trailer, add more contrast and "grain" in post. It will take some of the glow out of the shots. Lowering the saturation may add that feeling as well...

    archived-videos First short, critics welcome

Good job for a first video...here are a few suggestions to spice up your shot list. Do more medium, medium close ups of your characters...less wide shots after the first one. This really helps as the emotions build. Get some shots of "close ups" on things like what they are holding...

    Does these effects look convincing?

Jedi Jump for Speed Just an idea for recreating the same shot you did with the control you want. On the next try, shoot from a similar angle without the bikes going by. Get a couple of pics from google of bikers riding the type bikes you want in the riding position you want (close as you can...

While I don't have sound gear yet,you are absolutely correct. Just this past weekend I got the chance to intern on a film set and I ran the sound equipment. Operating the boom and listening to the audio in the headphones,it made me realize just how important sound really is.

Right now I am shooting with camera app on my Droid X2,budget and all that. Doesn't have much in the way of controls but I will certainly experiment with what's there. As far as Talladega and racing goes, its not as exciting as you would think...but it's definitely an option.
