    favorite What's your favorite scene???

What really makes a five star film for me, and what I think makes a scene one of the best ever, Is when your soul is touched and you get goosebumps. That's a feeling few films give me, but it's as rewarding as anything else in life when it occurs....

RIP: Sally Menke, editor for Quentin Tarantino

r.i.p. quentin always said an editor should be female, and mother-like. reservoir dogs and pulp fiction are classics.... sally surely placed the puzzle together of some great films.

What exactly does "Being Premiere" give you, and what's it like? It sounds like it could be beneficial to my self-taught film school i'm attending right now.

    Problems Writing

You could take a page from Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Being John Malkovich, Adaptation., Synechdoche New york) and use a tape recorder to record your thoughts. Then later write them down. It's a great way to brainstorm ideas....

I grew up on a farm. I want to make a documentary about a straw bailing contest they hold in a fair each year. I could even make it into a melodrama instead of a documentary and add a bunch of cheesy plot points to it. Another documentary I think I would KILL is to follow a competitive eater...

First feature, a little worried about money

this right here. getting potential investors to commit to your project is HARD. Give them a reason to want to invest in your project. Tell them what they will get back. Also, listen to Dov S-S simens and ask some dentists for money. Along with that, rent "American Movie". If they man make a...

I'm sick of everyone talking about him all the time and lebron dancing around in fog with bosh and wade on television..... It was a plan of his a long time.... it dates years back from the u.s.a. olympic basketball team. they made a pact to carry out LeBron's narcissistical master plan on...

    film-school Film school in Australia?

What about Lodz film school in Poland? Polanski and Kieslowski graduated from there. Also Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Italy is where famous cinematographer Vittorio Storaro and director Michelangelo Antonioni went to

lololololol. I actually have plenty of ideas for great documentaries. I'd like to tackle more intense subjects about human emotion though. You'll see Lebron's documentary if Bosh, Wade, and himself win a championship. It's been a plan to make it for three years now for all of them to get rich....

Thanks and it's great to see you here!!!! I went with a panasonic dvx100b. I still have to pick up some lighting and final draft 8.... I respect what you say Nick, and i'll consider it. But with the economy as bad as it is now, and my opinion that it will only get worse in the next few years, I don't know if school would be the best decision now. I'm going to crank out a ton of shorts regardless.... I was actually...

yes, I realize this. My only question is whether or the McKee seminar will pay off or not. It's $1,000, nine hours a day for four days long. It helped Charlie Kaufman in "adaptation.", didn't it? You're right on. The economy everywhere in the U.S. is bad.... And I firmly believe it will...

True bro, college wasn't for me.... I found myself learning about film or trying to make films while taking my third math class with a teacher that could barely speak english. I know they are all good ideas. But i'm afraid if I join the military, I might lose that passion, or die. The economy...

Yup, i'm leaning towards the bartending, and short films on the side, but I wish I could get a job as a PA in a big city. Can you even live on being a PA? Don't you have to work like 70 hrs/wk? I've been reading all the screenplays and working on my own since it's my strength. Writing is truly...
