[Aug 27] What are you working on this week?

Submitted to another film festival. Working on a Blu-ray version of the film with extras. I heard back from one film festival stating that right now my film is marked as "In Consideration" and told me to make sure certain email addresses don't end up in my spam folder and a PDF was sent as to...

Buying a new Desktop to edit film.

I posted this article on a few filmmaker and video editing groups on FB. The most popular factor for faster rendering is the type of hard drive, namely the SSD hard drive gives the best performance for rendering video with various video editing programs. Then, there’s the way the video editing...

[Aug 13] What are you working on this week?

Well, I have a final cut for my film. The music composer completed the music and sound mix. Next step, create a master disk version and send it out for copyrighting so all associated material gets copyrighted together.

Now, who is oversimplifying the rendering? In the article, more factors are examined, such as the amount of layers being rendered, pre-rendering vs. rendering from scratch On the hardware end, the CPU, amount of memory, type of hard drive, and video card all factor into rendering video.

Buying a new Desktop to edit film.

Well, I stand corrected. However, the biggest payback for rendering comes with the most powerful CPU, as discussed here. I need to keep up more with these new video cards. But, the CPU gives the biggest boost. https://www.videoeditingsage.com/rendering-in-video-editing.html

Buying a new Desktop to edit film.

It's the CPU that renders the footage and not the video card. The more powerful the CPU, the better. i7 and i9s can be costly.

Buying a new Desktop to edit film.

Are you planning to hook up all those cameras to your computer? How did you end up with USB 2 with a computer like that? It should have USB 3. You should be okay with your existing computer, if you are only using one camera and plugging in SD cards into an SD slot. An Intel i5 is better than...

[Jul 23] What are you working on this week?

More editing to fix up a major fight scene with more Vfx. Worked on better sound effects as well. I also improved the film’s epilogue even more with more visuals and narrations. Got a new iPad on sale to carry my videos around for future meet-ups with industry people. It’s amazing what Video...

Which is better Audacity or HitFilm? - Sound editing

I am thnking, the original poster doesn't want to invest money to make great audio. There are some people in this world who honestly believe cheaper or no cost is the best choice. They don't understand you get what you pay for all too often. However, the real thing the poster must be honest...

[Jul 16] What are you working on this week?

Edited together a better epilogue for my film that tightens the story and leaves it open for a sequel. Learning to create narrations from bits and pieces of ADR, recorded narrations, and dialogue and adding time stretches, pitch change, and volume changes with audio filters to sell the new...

That's no longer the shot used with the new stock footage, the background for the fly by is different as well. You guys are a week late. I also got all of the crystals to show with the new rendering. AcusticAl was right. I actually had to slightly blur the ship for all of us to it's parts to...

cgi Is this Spaceship Fly By Properly Proportioned?

As someone else pointed out in an earlier post, shooting a model that is both clear, crystal, and metallic brass is no easy matter and rear screen projection was recommended. Some shots were shot that way. Others were shot with blue screen and others greenscreen. No worries about some camera...
