    Wireless sound delivery

Please, help me choose wireless gear to make Director to hear what Boom Operator/Sound Recorder does. I guess wireless transmitter to be hooked up to a sound recorder (Zoom H4n in my case) and Director will carry wireless receiver and headphones. My budget is about $200

    EXCHANGE - short film

I have completed the script. I will translate it (as much as I can, since there are some national jargon) and publish it here. I have imported and finalized it in Celtx. It is a nice tool not only to write the script, but to manage whole production. Although it supports my native language while...

How to CORRECTLY record a whisper and an out-loud shout

I think I'm better just record some sound both indoors and out and put links for professional sound engineers to judge.

    EXCHANGE - short film

CLIMAX REVISION 3 (MOTHER NOT A MONSTER) 13) The climax is when the boy is attacked both by cashier and extras and has no power to deliver his message. Then his mother rushes in. She shouts "SHUT UP!!!" and starts to protect her son from their slanders. She tells the cashier about the EXCESS of...

    EXCHANGE - short film

CLIMAX REVISION 2: 13) The climax is when the boy is attacked both by cashier and extras and has no power to deliver his message. He gets his voice because of a trigger - his mother rushes in. He yells out loud giving explanations about EXCESS of the money, puts them on a cash tray and runs...

    EXCHANGE - short film

leebarry, your ideas is pushing me in a very right direction. wheatgrinder, I'd love to fictionalize it your way, but I do not have the budget :) I have added some suspense to my plot: 1) The boy is in a "hurry-up" situation and must be back home quickly. (This way I want to give a "tempo" to...

    EXCHANGE - short film

There is no completed script here to read and I don't think will be posted even after been completed. The reason for that is that the script is NOT in English. I will probably put English subtitles after I produce the short. As of now, I really would like to share my short story with you and...

    Versatile microphone stand

Need an advice on what type of microphone stand to purchase. Can flag stand be used for microphone? I would prefer a versatile stand that can hold microphone and be easily switched to hold a flag or gel.

How to CORRECTLY record a whisper and an out-loud shout

I am after a basis rule and technique on production sound recording. I am playing with my sound gear, namely Zoom mic/recorder, NTG-2 and MK-012 mics. I like the quality, it is very accurate, I feel semi-pro level of this equipment. However, I do lack some general rules that must be followed. I...

Support system, Matte Box and Follow Focus for T2i

Good point. I actually thing there is even more versatile solution, like rechargeable battery packs that can be used as a prolonged source to power camera and monitor.

Support system, Matte Box and Follow Focus for T2i

Sorry, I am confused. Do you mean the rotation speed can affect the way lenses are spinning? I will definitely have an assistant to pull focus.

Support system, Matte Box and Follow Focus for T2i

Marshall HD monitors are way too expensive in comparison with Ikan. I will probably go with this one. However, I wonder how HD picture will be delivered through a Composite (RCA) Input. I thought HDMI is a must for High Resolution. Maybe in a year or two I will get 5D Mark II or something similar.

Support system, Matte Box and Follow Focus for T2i

I am not in the US (as you may already realized) and indie-cinematography is not developed in my country at all. I want and need a buzz, attention, press to put me not as "a man with a camera takes some pictures", but "a cinematography crew shooting film" I am not after a cheap parts JUST FOR...

Support system, Matte Box and Follow Focus for T2i

I will try to achieve both, but "shoot like a cinematographer" is my priority. I own good tripod, dolly, production sound kit, decent lights. Also purchased Canon T2i, but it not yet arrived. Plan to purchase Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM EF-S Lens and an external monitor by the end of August. And...

Support system, Matte Box and Follow Focus for T2i

I know there are always cheap solutions out there that really work. I am simply in a position right now to get as much as I can to really shoot without DIY staff and look like a real cinematographer. I'll be honest, there is a PR move there as well. Calibrated monitor will probably cost...
