I have to cast a young girl for my next short, age 6-11 probably. There will be a scene where she is kidnapped although I can work the scene so it's just showing her reaction as her kidnapper approaches. Any advice for working with kids? Do I get both the parent and kid to sign the actor...

THANKS, It was my first short and lessons have been learned , sort of. I just did the best I could just now, since I want to move on to something else, it was just to try make it better for a screening since you never know who will be watching it.

they are both in different cities now, prob wouldn't be feasible, i don't know how long i have to get it done yet. i mean they want to show it the the way it is but i want to make it better, there could be 'good to know' people will be watching it.

I've been looking at adapting the short story "the yellow wallpaper", I love the story but I had a hard time as it's mostly narrated, the BBC did a version of it but it was kind of boring and there was a recent feature that hasn't been released yet. sound comes out both speakers for me. with the music i have pre-recorded tracks i can use, which is cool but poses some editing challenges, so it was the same track throughout, apart from the middle bit. thanks for your thoughts, i appreciate it :)

i got one of those £1 ones and it lasted a while before breaking, then i got a new one it lasted 10 seconds :/ they are pretty handy though if the y don't break.
