    Indietalkers: How has indietalk evolved?

I might be misunderstanding, but it sounds like it isn't so much the forum you have the issue with, but rather the internet sites for films that have all these various films in them, and the stuff that's out there. You do bring up a very good point which I've thought about in past-and that is...

    Indietalkers: How has indietalk evolved?

It's interesting how the thread is evolving (and I'm not complaining), I was trying to get an idea of how the website has changed over the years...but it's more a study of what people NOW are seeing on the site, and what their views. Just interesting to note :)

    Indietalkers: How has indietalk evolved?

Just wondering, what brought you to indietalk? Did you hear about it in the industry-just wonder what it was. Just the reason why I ask is that there are a few people who come through here, like yourself who want to make a name in the industry and do some serious stuff with filmmaking, and...

    Indietalkers: How has indietalk evolved?

It is a tough question, I know-and it helps when people post their stuff if they say what they are using: RE: ARE they on a low/zero budget using lamps with daylight bulbs and a 300 dollar camcorder? Or are they using Fresnel lenses for lighting, a 3000 dollar camera, and a portable sound...

    Indietalkers: How has indietalk evolved?

I did say it was just my .02 :) I did not create the site-so I don't want to speak for the Site founder, but my experience the past 2-3 years that's what this site is about-the community, the sharing, and the learning seem to be the focus. Yes this is a VERY unusual site in that regard-I'd...

    Indietalkers: How has indietalk evolved?

I agree, I have learned SO MUCH about movie making from some very knowledgeable people (you're one of them ROC :) ) on this site, and I have never felt any question I've asked, like it was a "stupid question". Really, it's a great gathering of ideas, advice, and just plain hanging around good...

    Indietalkers: How has indietalk evolved?

I admit I haven't been around other film sites, but what strikes about the people who come here come from many walks, but also there's a wide variety reasons: Yes there are people who come here who really want to make it in the film industry, and I can see how that would fit. However there are...

Why do video posts get fewer responses?

I think part of this is, how "complete" is the project? I mean, with the projects I've put up as "rough", I actually HAVE done editing/adjustments according to suggestions, and the projects have worked out better-but that's because they were admitted works in progress-I've also taken advice from...

    Indietalkers: How has indietalk evolved?

I agree, that's one thing that's never changed-this is the most civil, courteous place I come to on the net. No one here is trying to "win" any argument, or putting down people ("trolling")-we all come from very different backgrounds but we all find common ground here. If there were more sites...

    writing and shooting myself

I agree with Harmonica, for your actors, I think the more information you give them the better, and like he says, and adds flow and continuity. I know it may seem like more work for you, but I think you'll get a better "vibe" if it's more detailed :) My .0002

    Indietalkers: How has indietalk evolved?

That's interesting, I know I'm of and on the boards, so maybe I don't see it, but there seem to be a fair number of people putting stuff in the screening room (and of course the other thread asking about why more people don't post critiques! ;) ) But from what you are saying there aren't as...

    Indietalkers: How has indietalk evolved?

Because I have not been here a LONG time (I think maybe 3 years), I was wondering about indietalk, just wondering not only with current indietalkers including those who have been here from the beginning, how has indietalk changed in your time here? I guess what I'm asking is, what sort things...

Why do video posts get fewer responses?

I know, like Dready speaks about, I have my "screening days" where I will just sit and do nothing but watch and comment on videos (should do another one soon) Also, agree with Nick, there's just so many times and so many hours in a day, there are variable posters here-some post daily, some post...

how do you get inspiration for a film?

I find alot of my ideas come at 2 in the morning, so I'd just pay attention to those times between wake and sleep and when something hits you, write it down and quick, don't put it off till the morning. Don't know if you get ideas that way, but it sometimes helps to break the block :)
