As soon as I saw this thread the first thought that came into my mind was Morgan Freeman- Shawshank Redemption. I suppose it just depends on the narrator and what they're saying (surprisingly) which is very hard to get right. Escpecially if you don't have access to Morgan Freeman.

Should I convert the files first? I have a good file converter that convert anything into anything which I use quite often.

The format which is giving me issues is 720p MP4 h.264 footage shot on a Samsung camera. However it will play 1080p .mts files totally fine which are much larger which doesn't make sense to me. I've looked into proxy files before but I don't understand them.

It is possible, just the final result wouldn't be bearable to watch.

That would explain why a simple 2 minute test, which I used the grain removal for, of mine took ten hours to render.
