    Panasonic GH2 DSLR thoughts

All I've seen of this camera is the c-mount adapter. It looks beautiful. It gives that old feel and really washed colors. I like it a lot. When I first saw it, I thought twice about the 7D

POV filming, why isn't it used more often?

I personally think it's just because there isn't a good script to fit one. But this video never gets old http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8Y1MalRrDc (Incredible POV music video) Oh and you should totally check out Enter the Void if you haven't already.

    sound Camera and Sound Equipment

Well, if you don't need it immediately, you can always get scholarships, attend an engineering schoolll.. then build your own. But I'm assuming you have a low budget. It all depends on exactly how much you're willing to spend. I can sit here and tell you all day what to get... what's the best...

    is this a good camera

It all depends on what you're looking for in a camera. If you want a DSLR that shoots video, this is not one. If you want a decent photography camera, this is one. How much is he asking?

archived-videos Wake UP - Short Film

Love the camera work. Great visual style. Although it was a little repetitive as Murdock said, I really liked it a lot. Good job.

    archived-videos RUN! A short film

So what's going on in this? A man walking. Then he runs. Then some guy following him in the middle of a crowded street chases him. Shoots him?

    Just purchased...

Just got it in the mail. It's built nicely. Easy to understand. The shoulder rig for it is really cool. Right now, though, I'm still working out the kinks with the steadicam mode. It's my first time using the merlin style, so i'm getting used to the counter balancing, but I've gotten SOME...

    7D file format

I would love to be able to take a macbook pro around. You know, on sets... school... showing off to my friends

    7D file format

It's definitely my computer. I'm putting it on craigslist. Hopefully it will sell. Should I get a Mac book pro or iMac? I know iMacs are choice for editing on, but I can easily plug my macbook into an external LCD monitor to edit on.

    7D file format

I looked at the specs, they require intel based macs. My Apple G5 must burn.

    7D file format

OK, I'm more than sure that my computer is terrible. (When I try editing HD... it's just way too choppy). I'm considering getting an upgrade for my computer or possibly upgrading to a new computer. (Using an old non-intel based Apple G5) Anyways, I just upload the footage I take onto my...

Best Equipment for a First Timer?

@polfilmblog, I really do like the GH2 and it actually made me regret the 7D (just a tad). The only reason GH2 is better is the c-mount lens adapters! So gorgeous.

Best Equipment for a First Timer?

Well the cheapest I can think of would have to be a clamp light from home depot. I get them for like 10 bucks a piece (give or take) and yea, it can clamp to most objects. I use a canon 7D so I mount a old non-working flash on my camera, clamp the light to there'. But yea, there's plenty of uses...

Best Equipment for a First Timer?

Well I don't want to be 'that guy' and yell SLR. But if you want attachable lenses and a camera that is the most cost efficient, look into the T2i, 60D, 7D, 5Dmk2, or Lumix GH2. The sound part, you'd most likely have to get a minijack - XLR adapter to get some decent boom mics running through...

archived-videos Hollywood Hill - First Short Film

I might not be the most helpful 'critic'... but what just happened? From what I got is: A veteran is haunted by his past OIC and goes out on a mission but his Captain was shot down but in reality he was trying to save someone's life? What I was expecting was the Veteran to kill the 'enemy'...

    Just purchased...

I just purchased the STEAD-DSLR. I'm tired of waiting about what other people thing. I guessed I'd just buy it to give everyone an actual voice about the truth of this tool. From what I looked up, it seems amazing. I'll let you all know this weekend when it ships.

    I just purchased....

Those are some incredible photos and I saw your test footage (incredible). I found that owning a DSLR (7D) makes me take a lot of photographs, haha. It's so tempting!
