Yeah. Money talks. I know this. Tried to cast a few other scripts (to attach and actor to other projects) and they won't put it into the actors hands without A) getting paid themselves; B) knowing the project can pay the actor. Makes sense really. Needless to say ... this project is under-funded.

I would make a WAV of the scratchy/noise sound and run that under the audio track and then make a WAV of the crumple and drop it in where you want it. You could probably fake most of this with an open microphone and static from a TV. The editing software we use would allow for great flexibility...

We actually did have a Producer's Rep willing to show the movie/script to "the right people" to get it made into a "big time" Hollywood production. And it was only going to cost us $10,500. The upside of any of this is that we DO have a finished movie on DVD so ... if for some reason I DO bump...

My experience with VC money is that these types of investors are VERY careful with their money (which is why they can be part of a VC fund in the first place). The ROI on any movie is way too risky. We financed ours through private "millionaires" and the VC people we asked basically looked along...
