Hey, Has any one edited DSLR native h.264 on premiere cs5/5.5 without using mercury playback engine? How smooth does it playback and can it playback an edit smooth full res (no fx)? I ask because ive got a new comp core i7 2700k with 16gb ram but have an ATI gfx card. Cheers

Holy crap this is amazing. Raw 12bit with 13stops or pro res 10 bit YUV thats awesome and blows any competition away right there. Pretty much every bit of this camera is ideal for those wanting to get something abit more professional than a DSLR. :clap: fair play blackmagic.

Aspect ratios are usually down to two things... 1. artistic preference 2. re framing in post (pan scan) But yea its up to you, most common one I see and use 2.35 for films.

yea go with pretty much any nvidia card with cuda cores as it gets some perks when using cs5+ if thats what you use it for. I regret getting an ati 6850 :( for this reason but its still good. Also what wheatgrinder said is spot on, get what you can afford, dont bother going for the high end...
