What sort of thing you looking for or is it up to the person who does it? Either way I could whip you up something on a weekend or two (I have not worked on a short for awhile... need to get back in the game!). Oh and im not interested in money unless its going to be a beast of a title seq :P...
Yea is saw it the other day (no spoilers) its great but banes audio is weird to me, i could understand him fine but its to clear for having a mask across his face so sounded rly odd to me.
Yea I can see the appeal for motion graphics it is very quick and intuitive for AE people. One of the problems I can see with it however is overuse in the motion graphics community to the point where it looses value (like alot of video co pilot products). What I mean by that is EVERYONE who has...
I have all of video co pilots stuff as it can come in useful, optical flares and action essentials 2 are the best. But to me this product is a glorified array modifier that any 3d program can easily do. Granted you have to know a tiny bit of 3d but not a lot. You could teach yourself to do all...
Well you can go about it two ways as far as i know. 1 Convert all your rushes from 30 to 24 or 2 edit the whole thing as 30fps, export uncompressed as 30 then convert to 24. Or i guess you could accept the mistake and just keep it 30 as most wont notice that much difference ;)
Few reviews coming out now but im not going to read any! I liked this line under the review pic on the Empire website :P
"God help the bloke who reboots this"
that wasn't to be taken too literally as a general statement its just to me its gona be that way
Yea i agree it could be like that hopefully it wont tho. This is actually my biggest concern that the 'war/super epic' like stuff is going to take away the sense of realism that has run...
Any 1 as excited as me to see this movie?! I plan to see it at least 3 times...
1st the day it comes out in the morning, then ive booked to see it at the BFI Imax then Ill see it again with my girlfriend. cant wait :D.
Any one else made these kind of plans (secret cinema, imax, 1am...
Hey just checked this post out watched the promo, nice idea, well shot, acted etc good luck with it cant wait to see the finished thing! Also think its amazing you raised so much money that's the most impressive thing to me  congratulations.
Yea that monitor should be pretty good for calibrating but dells can be abit more hit and miss ive heard (mines ok :) ). Usually brands to check out for colour critical monitors are:
HP, Dell, eizo and NEC
The i1 display 3 is what I got at work and it's pretty good. Worth checking out...
Well depends how fussed you are about it tbh most people go on making films and stuff and have no idea what colour space means (in an ideal world nor should they lol that why standards are build into most of this stuff behind the scenes). But you sound like you care and if your a professional...
Yea in the perfectionist industry there are grades for Projection, DVD, 3d etc etc. But the diffrence between tv and internet is pretty small you can get away with it. Better yet when exporting specify what colour space you want and it should do a better job than just uploading for example...
This is my job so ill chime in on this :P
Your calibrating your monitor to a standard preferably not by eye but with a probe (spyder/i1 display pro). The question you should ask is what is my project being delivered to? Internet or TV, TV follows the REC709 standard Internet is SRGB basically...
The gain is that when cropping the image you can re frame your shot Vertically if needed. Besides 2:35:1 looks awesome and is a film like signature imo :D
Yea I get this when I make a film and its not so much im bored of it more that i hate re watching the imperfections of my work! Even tho no one normally notices... the problem with being a perfectionist when it comes to film is im never satisfied with what I have done for more than a week lol...
Yea Blender is a 3d program and is real heavy you wouldn't use it for editing.
try Lightworks its an open source non linear editor

He talking about a problem when you film a tv and the refresh rate of the tv isnt matching your shutter speed you will get a flickering where you can see the scanning process of the tv.
