Okay, let's make this personal. History Repeats.

Cracker Funk, what you did is exactly what I would like to do eventually. Congrats! I would also love to find more people in my area that are also making films, but they are kind of off the radar from what I can tell so far. I haven't really gone down the rabbit hole yet, but we'll see what a...

editing EDITING: Best free editing software?

This is what I was considering purchasing now, so glad you gave it a shout out. I have an older Mac version of Final Cut Pro, but that is missing its serial # and the hard drive it's on no doubt isn't the OS boot drive, bla bla Mac G4 old as all get out bla. :D So, with my Acer PC I just need...

    Stabbing a dummy

Personally, I don't think going with the dummy is the way to go. The reason is the reaction of the person's body to the knife attack is going to look too, uh, wooden. You're better off going with reshooting the closeup if you can with the knife from behind. Then when the girl falls forward you...

    Are you burned out yet?

I'm actually very glad not to be involved in commercial films. I have a friend that does that as a key grip and on occasion he has invited us to see films he worked on when they weren't completely embarrassing. These invitations were very few. Now think very little about your new thread...

    Are you burned out yet?

Fresh meat!!! I may not be a film veteran, but I am definitely a forum vet in a variety of forums. I know what does and does not keep a forum healthy and worth visiting. And I too like to write, so typing extra words does not hurt my tender fingers. Now, what can I do for you that are burned out?

    Greetings from Colorado Springs

Thanks! This appears to be one of if not the most visited film forum out there. Is that about right?

    Greetings from Colorado Springs

An officemate and I have decided to put effort back into filmmaking. I have even investing some money in an upgraded camera for video. Our first shoots on my older camera were quite lacking in quality, but it still inspired me to keep going. I'm a film school dropout, and got my BA in...

Showcase your film at Indie Night Film Festival!

Most excellent! I don't know why it took me so long to search for a filmmaking forum, I spend so much time on other forums. The festival sounds great. I hope I can attend one.
