Should I submit this short to festivals?

Thank God we had the 'no politics' rule on November 8th...

Should I submit this short to festivals?

I also saw this many moons ago. Just remember H44, we were fans before you were famous!

    DETOURS feature poster

His hair looks great, would never have guessed he wasn't a natural silver fox! I certainly wouldn't have an issue with the photoshopping of either of them individually, it's just the contrast that might draw the eye. I also think the fact that Carlo's wearing a close patterned shirt also...

    And it begins.

I will be following this eagerly, but you've spelt the name of the project differently on Twitter and Facebook. Is it 'Guerilla' or 'Geurilla' (obviously the first makes more sense, though I thought maybe you were being subversive with the latter).

    DETOURS feature poster

I think I get what you're saying. FWIW this looked better on my phone than on my laptop. I actually think it might be that Tara looks quite photoshopped, so that her skin is very smooth and undetailed, whereas Carlo has a much more detailed face. So it looks like one of them has been polished...

    Oxford International Film Festival

Wish you had a web-series competition because I love the Phoenix and fancy a day trip to Oxford, but alas... Perhaps I'll finish my short doc in time ;)

    Million Women March

This sounds great and I think you're doing good work organising it. Also that's a really important note for all people considering this sort of documentary work. Make sure you aren't taking the stories out of the hands of the people who should be telling them. There are more passionate women...

    Million Women March

This sounds like it could work brilliantly. Someone needs to hook them up with a bunch of GoPros and get a documentarian to do a ridealong and you've got the basic footage for a great piece.

    Million Women March

Huh? I understand that discussion of politics is banned on this board, and rightly so, but the idea that discussing 'women protesting or their roles in society' constitutes something fractious or political is crazy. I'm glad you deleted the very misogynistic posts (and hopefully the poster was...

    archived-videos "Aluminum" - Telekinesis short

Loved it. You've got a great eye and style, and I love the way that you speak to such a specific part of America. You're also a very good actor yourself. This reminded me of a This American Life episode about a guy who couldn't feel electric shocks and tried to monetise that 'power' but it was...

How can I deal with this problem with my acting agent?

If they are not covering your travel and lodging expenses then, in my opinion, you would've be well within your rights to remove yourself from the project. In the UK, that would be against voluntary employment law (presuming you're not being paid). If they have failed to provide you with the...

    Introducing: Upbeat Drop!

I am also making a musical CF! Albeit on a much smaller scale and shorter timespan. But we can swap notes, I'm sure it's all gonna be ace :)

    What are you working on?

Not quite, although our genre was 'Holiday Movie'. Where were the potatoes in all that?! Had the awards ceremony on Friday and we were nominated for Best Use of Line, Best Use of Prop, and Best Ensemble, which was nice because I didn't think we'd get within a sniff of any awards. Didn't win...

    What are you working on?

Slightly on the early side, but this was the 48-hr film we did a couple of weeks back. I was writer/producer. Can you guess the theme/line/prop? https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=B-Frq4lXFbw

    Rapist costume (funny)

Statistically, you are much, much more likely to be sexually assaulted than murdered, especially if you're a woman. Again statistically, you are much, much less likely to be convicted for sexual assault than you are for murder. Murder, in its most basic representation, isn't about structural...

Love it, looks great. Slightly wish the music level transitions had been less abrupt, but a very minor quibble.

Resuscitating this thread because I'm bored at work and want to ask the timeless question: What are you working on?

archived-videos Schoon Genoeg (Well Done) - 48HFP Dark Comedy

Thought that was great Walter, one of the strongest 48hr films I've ever seen. I thought the twist ending worked really well, and whilst I would probably recommend trimming it down a little bit, it kept my attention for the whole period. Really well acted too – the two women were great – and it...
