    Best Camera Stabilizer?? Steddiepod??

Also checkout Justin's video about using a tripod as this type of steadycam replacement. You might also want to look into the opteka steadyvid. It takes a TON of patience to setup properly, but can yeild good results.

    Fog Machine

If you plan on ever using SAG actors, a mineral oil fogger isn't legal. The Chauvet appears to be h2o.

I like the red and black color scheme. Is this a dollar baby? Have you seen the Kevin Erhard version?

    Rosco #2210 M20 Plug?

Someday. Someday I will be able to give back to this fine forum and help others with knowledge and experience. But alas, today is not that day. Today I opened a package that contained (non-returnable) ebay items: a junior2k, a baby650, and a mini200 mole-richardson fresnel. I unwrapped the...

    Quality Wired Lav Recommendations?

Based on a really old head-to-head review of wired lav reviews, to me, four different mics (in four different price ranges) seemed to stand out. In order from least expensive to most expensive, they were...

    editing Audio sync issues

How does one do that? Is a master clock just a device you buy, plug, and play? Are there any that are both good and cheap?

    Tip for a moving scene

The creativity at this place never ceases to amaze me. Awesome. I know many skaters do this to record other skaters (they even sell "filming wheels" for boards) but I have never gotten good results, and I have tried several different ways recently. YMMV. That's really cool, Justin. BTW...

Seeking Sound Card and Video Card Advice

Alas, I, too, want to wade not into the debate too far-- but I have always used the term "professional" to apply to someone who is paid to do what they do. We certainly paid money for the PMG guys to make the promo video at http://youtu.be/9fUb3c08svg Actually I was mistaken in my...

Seeking Sound Card and Video Card Advice

There's no way I will ever have my own mixing studio. In my "day job" I work for a local charity. In the past, we have hired video crews to come out and do interviews, etc. They will usually send one guy out with a camera, a few lights, a few mics, and very little else. They will spend a...

Seeking Sound Card and Video Card Advice

Because our basement is completely unfinished, we have the option of "doing it right" to start with, but the more I learn, it looks like it will cost about 4x what a "normal" basement would cost (in materials alone) to do a halfway decent job with the audio treatment and ADR booth isolation. I...
