    AI Layer Test 3

I think I get it. Like you wrote earlier, the program redraws the scene pixel by pixel. The style.

    AI Layer Test 3

In a scene like that, did you have to define the make and model of the cars? How about the colors. There is a yellow car that stands out. did you tell it to include a yellow car? How about the people, did you have to define what they were doing?

I read about that.... Personally, I don't see anything wrong with it. I mean, people from past generations loved Popeye and Bugs Bunny.

Wow. It's starting to look like the movie Simone could one day be a reality.

So, it is kind of acting as a compositor or is that just one of it's aspects.

    cgi Digital claymation test

That's a great idea! I could probably write a script that randomly replaces the bump map with others that show different deformations.. If you look at his chest close you'll see a finger print. I didn't set up the lights for the portrait shot of Walter. I just used the IBL dome that I used...

    me

I'm not drunk now but I have started smoking cigarettes again. 5 good years of no smokey treats then BAM "smoke up Johnny!" Yeah, life is what it is. One minute you think you're having a lively conversation with someone who you respect and you think respects you, the next minute that person...

Escape from New York and Prince of Darkness. I really love the music in those two films.

    Silent Sirens

What I like about it is that you have something to say. The ideas are clear and easy to follow. As the storyteller, I could tell that this means something to you. For better or worse, in today's world we are bombarded with images and sounds. Sensory overload is the norm. You took a very...

    cgi Digital claymation test

Here's a frame from the animation. I applied a film look to it during compositing... Not sure how I feel about it now though... The white creature seen in the frame is a 3D printed model I used to determine what the shadows for Walter should look like.. I decided to leave it in the shot. This...

    cgi Digital claymation test

Yeah, for this project the CGI has to interact with the real world a lot. I've found some people on Youtube who do that sort of a thing for a living. It's clear there's a lot more to motion tracking than just setting up the software. Some people have a true talent for it and can track...

    cgi Digital claymation test

Here's a test I ran for my upcoming production which will feature claymation characters that are actually CGI. I learned a lot from the test. Mostly, I learned that I don't like keyframe animating CGI characters. I think it will be well worth the money to invest in a motion capture system so...

sound Abuse of stock sound effects hurting a project's identity(?)

I found this concerning Youtube's Content ID. Qualify for Content ID Content ID eligibility is based on various criteria. This criteria includes whether the copyright owner’s content can be claimed through Content ID and their demonstrated need. Copyright owners have to give evidence of the...

screenplay what is a beat in scriptwriting?

Yes it could, but since the script is but a blue print for the movie, I would not do it. Lance's reaction could be to quietly sit down, he could laugh then realize she is serious, he could become confused... How it plays out will be up to the director and the actors. That's just my opinion.

lighting Lets Reflect for a moment

The other thing, did you notice how bright the set was lit? Like David said, the less defined shadows won't be noticeable. He could have his camera lens stopped down for a greater DOF. Maybe he has an ND filter on the lens. Maybe it was planned to darken everything in post. All of those...

lighting Lets Reflect for a moment

From a physics perspective, only mirrors would produce multiple hard shadows. Reflectors, from my experience, are diffuse my nature. In the video David was also talking about some pretty powerful spotlights being used and moved around per shot.
