    Youtube WTF

hey, I just left youtube as well a little over a week ago. the quality was horrible, no matter what format I uploaded in, no matter how long I waited for it to clear up, I could never be rid of those freaking pixels....vimeo's quality is much better.

movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

The Green Hornet: 7/10.........hey, it was pretty good. I loved the suits of the hornet and kato [a rather strange detail to name, but hey, I loved the old school look to it.] Rogen as the hornet was.....well, I'm not familiar with the character AT ALL, so I had nothing and no one to compare him...

    Getting out a funk....

my little piece of advice probably isn't as helpful as the others, but I find that I'm quite motivated to make something great whenever I watch a film or cartoon that inspires me. preferably at the theater, lol. it just makes me really think about my inferior work and motivates me to make...

    Shorts or a Feature?

yeah, start with shorts. I have yet to make my first feature, I've had the idea in my head for years, but I'm just not ready yet. practice with shorts first, really get some experience, then tackle a feature. your first feature is really special...I can't wait until I'm ready for my first one...

editing Touching up a short [animated] film..is this shot over-used?

sent. maybe I'm putting too much thought into this and should move on, but I just really want to pay respects to the iconic 50s sci fi, and feel that my first cut hardly did the job.

editing ARTISTS WANTED [apocoplypic detailed backgrounds]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kFTsOzC8xk ...as you could tell, I can't direct or stage romantic material AT ALL. so I'm re-cutting "Lights of the Unknown", going back and polishing it up. re-animating some quick shots messing with the music at some parts, and adding some additional effects...

Making a Horror Film on no budget?

psychological! the human mind is just terrifying. the kinds of things we conjure up in our little minds is insane. I would go with something like that. you don't need the threat of death to be scary [like you mentioned, the slasher films.] I think a short about the insanity of a character is the...

editing Touching up a short [animated] film..is this shot over-used?

I wrote a radically different ending. will message those who want to know. [nothing really unique, but I just want to see who's interested enough to message.]

    The Community Brainstorming Thread

now that's organization. I'm no live action filmmaker, so I can't really help, but I really love the concept and how you guys seem to be planning it. can't wait to see how this unfolds.

editing Touching up a short [animated] film..is this shot over-used?

ah, I really tried to move on. but I'm the kind of guy who can't tell another story until his last one is as good as he can get it. and there are still things that can be done so much better..just a few re-shoots and touch ups, a re-cut ending, and it's done. so close...but thanks for all the...

archived-videos Zombie Comedy Short - animated storyboards

ah, that sounds so cool. lol. right, only show what's neccessary. I hate it when people show an army of zombies just for the sake of showing them, and they don't serve any real purpose for the story. I don't really make storyboards when I animate [because I usually change things as I work too...

editing Touching up a short [animated] film..is this shot over-used?

right. I really don't know how to end the short any other way now..hm..I'll probably mess with the music and ending transition. not much, but it may help differentiate it from Avatar a bit..

editing Touching up a short [animated] film..is this shot over-used?

oh, and thanks for the criticism over Ai's appearance. I admit, I sadly rushed this thing in hopes of getting it to a small festival, made it in a little over two months. I know rushing a project is the last thing to do, and luckly I now have the time to go in and polish it up. I think I'll just...

editing Touching up a short [animated] film..is this shot over-used?

ah, yeah, I figured recognizing the similarties would be inevitable, especially when considering the fact that both the protagonists are from other planets..lol. but yeah, I think I'll do that. I really want to get rid of all traces of the "romance". I always love endings in which it's left off...

editing Touching up a short [animated] film..is this shot over-used?

alright, thanks for helping to put my usual paranoia to rest. very appreciated. I admit I don't really know a lot about filmmaking [certainly not about camera work and staging and well known shots], so I had to ask those who do. lol. I'm more of an animator than filmmaker, although I don't think...
