archived-videos HOOKUP - horror short made for Halloween

I enjoyed it! One thing that I thought is a weakness of the short were the sound effects and stock drum rolls from like action essentials (example: right when the escapee kills the guy at the gas station). Also, at least in the US, individuals who are institutionalized generally don't wear...

Can someone help me pick crowfuding site for my film?

It's against Kickstarter's rules for the campaign creator(s) to pledge money to their projects. If they catch you, the project can be deactivated.

Can someone help me pick crowfuding site for my film?

I pledge to movie projects on Kickststarter all the time. I will not pledge to IGG projects. For the OP, it sounds like crownfunding is not for you.

Where can I hire cast and crew that have no full time jobs that get in the way?

H44, you can fly in actors from other cities. Therefor their jobs and families are less likely to get in the way. Put the shoot dates in their contract so there is no arguing. If the actors are from the same city then sometimes stuff comes up where they can say, "Oh I have to run and do this...

cinematography How blurry does a background have to be in order to avoid a lawsuit?

The sample you posted is fine. In the US you would not have to worry about blurring out the building in the background....

Where do you buy your screenplays from?

Here ---> The Black List This is what I use. The Black List is "a closed network of script buyers, script representatives, and script writers that makes everything easier for everyone involved".

cinematography Camera settings vs. make up.

Use a make up artist ! Shoot flat and do the rest in post, which will help with flexibility.

    Trailer for a feature

I agree with RyiGarry in that the font you selected does not fit the feel of the trailer nor does it look professional in my opinion. Also, the score of the trailer was distracting to me. Having said that, everything else looked really good! It looks like a very well put together movie...

    New Indiegogo campaign

You should re-consider your perks since not one includes the actual movie, and the other one you say yourself it's not much of a 'reward'. Additionally, no video? As a potential pledger, i'd probably never give money to a campaign that has no video.

Can I build a DIY follow focus for this task?

I would not attempt to build a follow focus. Good ones are expensive for a reason.

    archived-videos The Possession Experiment

I'm assuming they are the production company since their IT user name is "Digital Thunderdome" and that production company's logo is displayed at the beginning of the trailer... It looks good.

Best way to get a website for our films.

Easiest is getting a free Wordpress Theme which you can basically then just plug and play.

Is it worth getting lavs to look more professional?

I always enjoy reading your posts because they are always about some crazy dysfunctional set. Some situations call for lavs, some don't. We use a mixture; however on most of the sets (feature narrative work) it's usually boom.
