cinematography Cheap monitor for my DP?

On board monitor? Try searching the Ikan 8' HD monitor. You could always hook up a small 19inch HD monitor. Its a bit more work to lug around and needs a power feed, but its a cheaper solution.

    Decent Set Up? Opinions

that machine is overboard for what your doing. You need a bigger PSU and make sure your mobo can use 1600 ram.

    Film Studies in College

It's most likely that it is focused on theory and history rather then production. An easy way to get an idea is check the classes and it's description. Or you can call and ask like Knightly suggested. It varies from school to school.

    archived-videos An Amazing Debut Feature

Since you were so blunt and cocky in your post, I will do the same as well. This was almost the worst 'film' i've ever seen. Not only was every technical aspect of filmmaking horrible executed if not just utterly disregarded, but the complete lack of respect for the art of film; put this on...

As stated; You have to choose what your website is for. If its for you as a filmmaker, then a resume/show reel type website is good. You can direct potenitel employers there instead of pasting your resume in an email. If you are a company or trying to start one, then a comapany style site is...

archived-videos Panic Attack --short film gets major recognition.

Good points both IT and Brooksy. Pretty much summed up my thoughts. EDIT: I actually just read the article. And i'm very suprised. No doubt was it a nice piece for an indie, but to get a $30M deal from something with absolutely no story, and just some CGI splur of shots? Not sure I agree...

    which camera?

I think everyone is confused because you want something that looks better then 16mm, when film & digital look different. So your not going to get a digital camera that looks better then film, because there arnt any. That's not saying there are very good looking digital video cameras.

archived-videos Panic Attack --short film gets major recognition.

Im on IT's side here. It looks like a hell of a lot of work went into it, but.... When i see fake, unbelievable CGI blood hit the lens, with a score of 28 days later, and over used 'camera' effects... It turned me off.

archived-videos Panic Attack --short film gets major recognition.

I thought the begining CGI was great, and some other shots had awesome CGI. But then it went down hill with the bad amature CGI shots and using the 28 days later song. I'm also pretty tired of 'Camera effects'. I think they did a great job, but failed me in too many ways to forgive.

    Super 16mm Camera Purchase

If $1,500 is for just the camera, and not the lenses and film, then you might be able to spend some time and get a used one on Ebay, but if that is for your entire camera package, your going to be in a bit of trouble.
