Dune was horrible. Anyway, his cause of death were due to heart issues.

Yes, I did. By the way, how much to make a movie about buddies ...... never mind.

If it's two, then I'm surprised no one mentioned the Laurel and Hardy movies, or the Abbot and Costello ones. Also the Lone Ranger movie.

If it's more than two buddies, then I would name the original Star Trek movies, with Shatner, Nimoy, and Kelley - they had chemistry, and they were buddies.

The original Blues Brothers. I wouldn't say it's my "favourite" as in my Number 1 choice, but it would rank pretty high up there.

This is not on topic, but I can name two books that were great and were adapted to great films - Cornelius Ryan's "The Longest Day" and "A Bridge Too Far".

Speaking of James Garner, he did a series of Polaroid commercials in the 1970's with Mariette Hartley, and their chemistry was obvious. Many, including me, have said that they should have done a series together.

Not a script, but Enders Game was an award--winning novel that was in development hell for over a decade, then, when it became a movie, it was a disappointment. The sequels to the novel, by the way, being Speaker to the Dead and Xenocide, had different tones to the original, but they were also...

You know, I've always wanted to explore the character of Shonuff, played by the late Julius Carey. He's the villain in the 1980's hit, "The Last Dragon", which was a homage to Bruce Lee as well as a satirical comment on the martial arts world, and I think he stole the show. If you look at the...

The Conversation? People talking about something? That seems like something I may want to film some day. 😁

I think Chris Starling and Lecter could have a great student-mentor relationship. Certainly Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins had chemistry.

The final scene of "The Day of the Condor" has the assassin telling the Robert Redford character that his work can be satisfying. I had always thought that this was a backdoor pilot, where the assassin would take Robert Redford under his wing and, in the various episodes, go through the...

@directorik The notes I sent to him were works on a historical fantasy, being the legend of King Arthur as set after the fall of Rome. This is inspired by the late Jack Whyte, who lived in British Columbia and whom I met before his untimely passing. Jack didn't seem to believe in magic, but I...

I was thinking of this thread, while reading the other one, and I thought of the Addams Family as a good example. So I reviewed the posts and found that you beat me to it. That movie adaptation was good, and I loved the scene where Mr Addams called the talk show host, who said to stop calling -...

@directorik, what role would you be playing in the production of the movie? The Director of Photography? Surely you wouldn't be Chief Procrastinator - that's my role. My mentor is going to be the Producer, by the way.

You don't have to hear; you just have to read. Have we created a Loop of a different kind? If so, my achievement is without parallel.

@indietalk, you may never have, but the others did. So you would agree that even filming a table read would not be a waste of time? And do you agree that others have said so?

@indietalk, there seems to be some problem with your server, because I had issues seeing it last week. Now, there was again a problem, so I posted my last comment twice. Of course, repeating myself is something I'm good at. 😛
