computer-gear New laptop spec, are they enough?!

Hello Everyone, hope you are all well :D

I've just purchased this Laptop which I will be using purely for Video Editing (I'm using Davinci Resolve) as my latest Laptop was not powerful enough (had a built in GPU). These are the specs:

ACER Aspire 5 15.6" Laptop

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-1255U Processor, 10-core, 1.2 GHz / 4.7 GHz, 12 MB cache

GPU: - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 - 4 GB GDDR6

SSD: 1TB

RAM: 16 GB DDR4 (expandable to 32GB)

I started working on a project last night and it seemed to be working really smoothly until I used an Adjustment Clip with the Glitch Effect and I notice that when I did playback, it lagged a lot! I've read online that that is a very heavy effect but I am just worried I might have bought a computer not strong enough? Is that GPU good enough?

I'm going to be making small videos for music promotion and most of the time it will probably be some mirror effects and a couple of layers of video (composite) with some flashing/lights effects and text. Also, would like to make video like this one in the future:

Do you think this specs will allow me to do these type of videos?

Thank you all very much!

Cheers,

Fabio

Always beef up your RAM. 16GB is the minimum requirement for Resolve. 32GB is the minimum requirement to utilize Fusion.

Minimum requirements will run, but with limitations.

With the nvidia GPU you will be able to run resolve.
Are you doing 4k raw video editing or something less taxing?

My advice for the hard drive.. spend the extra $30 or whatever it costs to get the name brand SSD - I like western digital.
It's more reliable. Less likely your hard drive will crash, which causes a ton of headaches, video editing or not.
