I am writing a feature length screenplay and can't help but insert specific songs I feel would fit into the picture. Now I know that the professionals would tell me to leave it out and let the Director make those choices, but I can't help it!

I am making my first attempt at writing a feature length screenplay and so far I am almost done writing Act I.
So far so good. I will come back to you if I get hung up in the next few acts but I am happy so far with what has transpired in 18 pages.
I did not read past the first page.
Best advice is to rewrite, but do so with two points in mind:
1. Understand that each line of action must move the character and the story forward.
2. You are writing images. That is what we and others WANT to read. Images.

I stopped reading when you mentioned within the action that your characters were "talking" then I proceeded to read their dialogue. It is unnecessary and bogs down the pace of your story.
Additionally use that action after you write your scene heading to establish what we are looking at and...
