    Why do you make films?

I only just took up the hobby :) I've done a lot of writing beforehand, so I've dabbled in screenplays, but as far as camerawork and all that, I'm an absolute beginner. I'd like to do a few short films and some documentaries to get experience with the camera, and editing, and distribution :)...

Is that of the first Transformers movie?

Manual typewriters: Why every writer should own one

I don't agree... Writing is all about rewrite, rewrite, rewrite. It's good to get those ideas out quickly and openly, and then revise, revise, revise. Being afraid to write freely just burns your creativity - you start to play it safe in your head. Embracing the flow of the story is a good...

“…but George was a curious monkey.”—writing, when stories officially begin

Me three. I keep coming across these expecting some discussion but no. Also, when you do start posting these properly in just a singular thread, at least give summaries of the blog posts.

That one sounds interesting, Sweetie. I'll check it out tonight.

watch Relic Recovery (First Short Film)

Hey Kryo, welcome to IT, but it's one of the rules here to not cross post (posting the same thread in different sub-forums). I saw you posted in a couple of other ones as well as this - just reminding you in case you didn't read the rules when you signed up. A mod will probably come along and...

watch Relic Recovery (First Short Film)

Audio is half of any film - bad audio will leave an audience disinterested. Also, better lighting might be good, or at least pump up the brightness in post, maybe put a filter effect on the overall video. Nice use of sound effects I guess, but the timing of them could be better. Story wise...

    Why do you make films?

I did a few things for mobile, worked on a few team projects, made a fairly nice amount of money and built a strong social presence (for a teenager, anyway) but the indie games industry is constantly filled with drama and there's more talk there of social equality than there is of actual games...

    Why do you make films?

Yeah, when I used to make games I got the frequent advice of "your first 10 games are going to be horrible and no one is going to want to play them. get them out of the way as quick as you can so you can start making better games soon." Well, it always sounded more inspirational coming from...

    Why do you make films?

Hm, that's a smart way to do it, I might try that sometime if I get a chance to test it. So I guess you fund these out of your own pocket, foster? Does it feel worth the money to you? Well, obviously it does, since you're doing it, but I mean, do you think you get out what you put in financially?

watch Space Pilots - "Asteroid Insurance" (Sci-Fi Comedy)

You have a good point there, maz... But I still think the title sequence could do with some work. At least a more spacey font for the logo? (maybe ripping off a sci fi font like the one used with Star Wars or Star Trek or whatever). Going with the cheap sci-fi cliches though, perhaps Artie's...

watch Space Pilots - "Asteroid Insurance" (Sci-Fi Comedy)

I came across your YouTube while stalking members here *creep face* and this was the first episode I watched. I subsequently started going through more of the series. This episode was definitely a good hook! I like the show man, I'm going to follow the Twitter (and your Twitter), like the...

    Why do you make films?

Just watched that YouTube episode Foster (imma call you Foster unless you have any objections to that?), and that was some great acting! Good story too, and some great cinematography. I saw in the credits that you didn't shoot it, but how did your camera guy get that big revolving sweep shot as...

    Resisting a fan fiction urge

Hahaha screenwriter/10 Hmm, I recently topped up my iTunes account, maybe I'll do a small movie shopping spree tonight, I guess that'll be on the list. Maybe I'll check out Grand Budapest Hotel (is that the right title?) as well, I read an article this morning that it was one of the most...

    Resisting a fan fiction urge

Oh okay, that makes sense then. I'm not gonna lie, this is one of the first scripts I've ever read, so I'm not attuned to them just yet haha. I should really see Edge of Tomorrow... By the way, have fun getting all those attractive blondes and brunettes who wanna get bitten on the neck ;)...
