The red outlines showing sharp areas is called "peaking", but that doesn't matter. Were you recording on the Nikon or on the Ninja? I'm guessing you were recording on the Ninja, in which case the problem lies with the HDMI output settings on your Nikon. I know how to set that on other cameras...

I have the opposite problem. I get ideas that I know I could turn into a humorous short but I can never find anyone to collaborate with. I don't get out much to meet people and obviously Covid-19 didn't help.

If you can do a screen recording, that will always be better. You can soften it or rough it up a bit in post if you don't want it to look too good. Shooting screens is fraught with pain, since the screen is likely to refresh in the middle of your exposure. There are adjustments you can make to...
