I will pushing a cart built for this walk. In the waterproof housing of the cart I will have a Ipad 3g and a Macbook pro. I do plan to do webcam updates as well as some weekly podcasts. The site will be done in a few days and will have lots more info on who is walking and why we are walking.

Yes, I have my mind set on the HV40. I was asking if anyone knows of something better for a project like this. I know the HV40 is going to give me problem when I hit bad weather.

I have a canon 7d and I love it. But I don't see myself having the time to manual focus on this trip. I will be mounting one of the cameras to the push cart as well. I also would rather have a tape format. I don't want to carry a bunch of HD's and I want a hard copy of the footage.
