do you have the plastic loop former and are you threating it correctly? it is totally enough to cut the head of the tape to a triangle top and slightly push it into the transport wheel... push the shutter button and see if it forms a correct loop. make sure to clean the gate with a brush.
i see what you are trying to do here... and yeah you are right, it very much depends on how someone use available light fixtures and blah blah blah. techspecs have nothing todo with personal skill, i think we covered that a milion times.
Just saying... research once, save twice
edit: yeah I know he did read reviews... but a direct product comparison is more the way to go... if you ask me.
Check it out ^^
http://snapsort.com/compare/Canon_EOS_60D-vs-Nikon-D3200
Especially check out the differences in:
Noise
Dynamic Range
Image Quality
EDIT: Sensor size too
(basically everything that really matters)
Could have saved $500
fantastic image quality?
poor noise performance
red channel slightly oversaturated images
poor bitrate
i think switching from t3i to a nikon d5200 was the best thing i ever did
in fact Hollywood doesn't even read scripts from some random writer.
Almost every studio writes on their website: "Please do not mail us any scripts." :P
I would certainly not shoot in higher ISO if I have access to prober lighting equipment.
post production does not improve the dynamic range of an already shot scene... from what I have experienced.
I am confused when u write about shutter speed... I thought u are shooting video in digital?
or...
the camera is $81k
according to
http://www.abelcine.com/store/Classic-ARRI-ALEXA-Starter-Kit/
the beam splitter rig is $45k
according to ebay.com
and i was seriously just kidding... because the topic starter wrote "decent price", which didnt tell me too much about his/her actual budget.
haha... yeah bm cinema camera is quite present for its price compared to the quality. i would take that over any available camcorder at any given time.
But honestly arri alexa can shoot in a much higher resolution and framerate... so comparing it like that, is certainly not that easy :p
i could not aggree on the statement about Steve Jobs destroyed the music industry.
Do I really need to buy a whole CD/Album just because i like one song?
And 20Cents is absurd... I don't know about others but on my iPad there is no song under 75Cents available.
However i totally aggree with him...
