Just another update, the film got a nice plug - here

I've had my GH4 for about a week, so far no complaints. The 4k and 96fps are great but it's small things like being able to adjust via shutter angle versus shutter speed that really make the camera a joy to use. Hopefully I'll have some footage to share soon.

I'd say just get out and shoot and experiment with your own stuff. Try and educate yourself as best as possible and really try to find out what part of the craft you want to explore. Everybody and their mother seems to want to be a director and that's great, but it doesn't always translate...

The 70-200 f/2.8 II L makes very nice pictures, super sharp, great color, I'd definitely recommend it, but you really can't go wrong with anything L series, just depends on your needs.

It really depends on how you shoot and your budget. I have a bunch of Canon FDs I use with my GH2 like many here, but started putting together a set of the Rokinon cine primes because they fit my needs. However, you may need image stabilization if you shoot a lot handheld or for the bumpy...

Actually there isn't any 60p footage in that trailer, the only off speed stuff is the running steadicam and that is 30p. Every else is 24.

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah I do like the look of the Canon FDs on the GH2. The 17mm is a really nice focal length for m4/3 but is a tad slow as it doesn't sharpen up until about a 5.6. I'll definitely continue to update this thread when I have more to show.
