  • It's amazing how people come through when it really counts. :) I've never been through anything like that. The closest catstrophe I've experienced would have to be a tornado. Those things are ferocious. I remember one neighbourhood I used to ride my bike through on the way to work. One block would be completely destroyed while the next one, untouched. Yikes.

Well, keep us updated on you and yours. :)
Good, I'm happy to hear your up safe! I saw the picture/story link of the man saving the joey. Awwwwww, what a great heart that guy has.
Sheeeeiiiiiiit. I thought we already had that. Of course I'm your fake boyfriend! Didn't we fake move in together, like a few months ago?
Sweet. What'd you write? Work on the feature, or something new?

Christmas stopped feeling like Christmas for me, about a decade ago. I'll be working on Christmas eve, and Christmas day, and thankfully making a lot of money. Otherwise, I fucking hate Christmas.
I can't remember what it stands for -- "Automatic Dialogue Replacement"? Whatever. It's when your production audio sounds like shit (in my case, because it was recorded outside), so you take the actors into a more controlled environment, and have them repeat what they said in the edited version of the movie.

    Dready helped. She's cool.
No such thing as luck! I had to shoot some ADR with my two lead actresses, who have moved there. Dready helped.
Restaurants are busy, in general, in Richmond, during December. But my restaurant is in a hotel, and every year we put up a GIANT Christmas tree. People drive from a long ways out, just to hang out and have drinks around our giant presidential-size tree. So, starting Thursday (Thanksgiving), it's gonna be madness. The good kind of madness -- the kind that puts paper in my pockets.

My best friend got his G.E.D. in his early 20's (G.E.D. is America's version of Tafe). He's doing just fine for himself. Married, with child, nice house in Bay Area, CA, and I'd say he generally enjoys life. So, don't sell yourself short -- I don't see why "only" having the HS equivalent should stop you from having a good career in whatever, and living a fulfilling life.

Cheers! I'm gonna go get shloshed and sing karaoke.
It's the quiet before the storm, for me. Shit's about to get crazy at work, and it will stay that way until Jan 1st. How's tafe? When you gonna be done with that shit? And what comes afterward?
I dunno about that. Looked to me like he was just going through the motions. I think we've got a crazy little love-triangle on our hands. Ron wants Hermione. Hermione wants Harry. And Harry wants Ron.

By the way, is Snapes ever gonna come back to the good side? Cuz I feel like he's still got some good in him.
Hah. I wouldn't watch it, then. I used to wonder when Harry would finally get it on with Hermione. Now, I wonder when Harry will come out of the closet. That kid's a doo-doo-chaser!
I'm all about instant-gratification. They need to find a way to give it some sort of almost-ending, or something. They shouldn't be so scared to do a little re-writing, in my humble, opinion.
Just saw it. I don't read the books, so I have nothing to complain about. Except, it suffers from Fellowship-of-the-Ring syndrome. It has no ending. I guess I knew that. But still, a movie needs an ending.
Well, I missed my connecting flight from Buttcrack, Thailand to Brisbane, so I guessed you missed the ass whoping you would have gotten had you not returned to indietalk. :D
