Playhoust West Film Festival - North Hollywood, CA

You should! After I audited I HAD to join. No other acting class I've gone to has taught me so much, the Meisner technique is truly a gift. And we just announced Scott Caan will be one of our special guests talking at the festival! :D

Playhoust West Film Festival - North Hollywood, CA

Hi Everyone! Coming up June 10-12, at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood, is the 15th Annual Playhouse West Film Festival! I forgot to post about this earlier, and unfortunately the deadline has already gone by to submit films. The festival is spread over three days, consisting of mostly...

Why don't they make video games with more of a film look?

So let's say they "scanned" everything in Avatar. The problem still is rendering all of this in a real-time interactive environment. A game console or computer that could do this is out of an average consumer's reach. It would be so expensive. By the time we get to a place where this is...

Why don't they make video games with more of a film look?

Bingo! P.S. FFXII turned off a lot of gamers, it's different than any of the other Final Fantasy games. But to me it wasn't a problem. And it's SOOOO freaking beautiful to watch on a PS3.

Why don't they make video games with more of a film look?

Well here's the trailer for FFXIII, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H1UEHX_7X8 Everything in that, minus the end and very beginning, is all in-game graphics. They look pretty great. And the pre-rendered cut scenes within the game look absolutely beautiful, the best I've seen on a video game to date.

Why don't they make video games with more of a film look?

Half Life came out a good 10 years ago, perhaps you should play a few more current games. One of the most cinematic games I've played recently is Final Fantasy XIII. L.A. Noir also looks very cinematic. Video game technology and camera technology are very different. Games look how they look...

watch 88 and Sunny - Short Film - *A Must See

It's not bad. Good use of music, but I doubt you got the rights for them. At times the narration voice had a lot of static and didn't blend well. I don't know if it was the microphone or the post production. The opening shot with the garage opening was nice. Overall the story was very bland to...

    watch Sci-Fi Fest 48hr film

It's awesome! Looks like it took way longer than 48 hours, the camera work and quality is great! It really kept me engaged throughout. Such a great job with story telling. It really left me feeling tense wondering what happens next. I looked at a few other shorts, and they don't come close to...

    Script: Precognition (Feedback Needed)

Celtx is also free, it's what I use. Probably the most popular aside from Final Draft.

    Script: Precognition (Feedback Needed)

What program did you use to write this? You don't use proper screenplay format. IE: "SCENE1: GAS STATION" should read something like "EXT. GAS STATION - DAY" and so on. You also write very novelistic, writing what a character is thinking or their motivation for doing something in the action...
