    Synopsis

Hey Guys, I'm finished my second draft of my screenplay, so I'm beginning to see a finish line in sight! Just for a change of pace, I just want to write a synposis of it - would anyone be so kind as to direct me towards an example of such, just so I know roughly what I'm doing? Thanks, CC

    Need some guidance

Not many fans of the "writer's block" concept here then. Sounds to me like you're no longer interested in film now that you've experienced what it's actually like...one of two options are available to you now I would say: 1) Find something new to do. 2) Learn from your experience, adapt and...

    Music & Scripts

Great point. The scene was my opening title, and I leaned on the crutch of this song to get away with a half-arsed description of what I wanted to happen. I have re-addressed it and it looks a lot better, didn't even mention music.

    TV Show/Cartoon Writing

I have an idea for a cartoon TV/Web show which I am going to start writing on soon. At the moment I'm just doing my own background notes, establishing characters and all that jazz. So my question is, are there any many differences between writing a cartoon TV show rather than writing a movie...

Oh how I wish there was an unsigned band that were similar to Led Zepplin and were worth showcasing...sigh.

I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself. I've never seen his movie, is it good enough to at least in part justify his standpoint?

    Music & Scripts

Aye, the more I flesh it out, the more I realise that to actually pick a song is ambitious at best, dillusional and amateurish at worst. Led Zepplin are apparently notoriously picky with who they let use their stuff too, so to choose them is another battle altogether. Generic muzak, once again...

Directors - What do you look for in a script?

Thanks for the clarification, Knightly. For what it's worth, I would generally agree with your philosophy surrounding the audience. To find a happy medium between artistry and entertainment is something I aspire to achieve when I write, and it tends to be a formulae I enjoy when watching a movie...

Directors - What do you look for in a script?

When you say "Audience Oriented" do you mean commercial, or more that it's easy to follow/digest?

    Music & Scripts

No apology necessary my friend, a simple misunderstanding is all! @ Draft Your technique is quite useful for when a song has a direct consequence to the scene for sure, but I suppose mine was definetely more based on the mood and tone of the scene rather than the importance of the song...

    Screenwriting Podcasts

I notice there's a few, haven't gone to the bother of downloading much. I've got the "Off The Page" podcast a couple of times, found it somewhat useful. Anyone recommend any that they may know?
