How to write a good seduction scene.

I have a one in my script and theme is getting good with women for the main character and his development. It's hard for me to think up one without it coming off as cheesy. I thought I'd base it off my own sucesses but my friends say that my seduction methods are bad, and that only really naughty girls go for them, and it will come off cheesy in a movie, as oppose to real life.

So what are some good seduction scenes in movies to get ideas from and be inspired by? And how can I write for a more challenging and more goodlooking woman to be seduced and have it be genuine?

Thanks.

She is a journalist, which comes into the plot later. It's a suspense thriller but him getting women is the theme, as the jealous villain has revenge plot again him cause of his success. She falls in love with the main guy and their love is challenged and broken, when he as to make a choice pertaining to dealing with the villain.

She doesn't have as much screentime or development compared to the protagonist and the villain but what else would you like to know that I am not thinking of?

Effff meeeee!
She doesn't get much time here either.

She's a journalist blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

Oh, well then... it's all so simple, now.

Journalists always fall for the old <screeeeech to a halt!>

How old is she?
What's her demographic?
Does she have a journalism degree?
Is she smart/cute/sexy/MILF/girl next door/professional/accused of being a bitch but she just really wants to get her work done right/career driven/good/bad/nice/hurt/damaged goods/heroine material/etc?
WHAT?!

She's already in love with "him".
WhoTF is "him"?
What's their sitch?
Who is seducing whom?
"Him" is seducing the journalist, or the antagonist is seducing the journalist?
And why is she so stupid that she'd be vulnerable to (scuze me while I vomit) seduction? Is she hurt, emotionally? Is she a drunk? Are ruffies and X involved?

BTW, you should watch 'The Sessions'.

It took, like, three sessions for this guy to seduce the therapist.
Took the better part of an hour for the director to execute.
That scene in the lowest left screenshot was a heartbreaker: http://s2.postimg.org/7ejegk221/The_Sessions_2012_DVDSCR_Xvi_D_AC3_NYDIC_screensh.jpg

How many pages/minutes long is this seduction scene supposed to take?
I hope Jane journalist is young. They tend to be seduced faster than smarter, mature women.

Of course, Chris Hemsworth and Channing Tatum could seduce any female within a hundred yards just by walking in the room. So... there's that.

In 'When Harry Met Sally' it took several decades. So... there's that, also.

How long have they known each other? Is there any history there?
Are either or both currently in other relationships?
Have either or both recently broken up with/been dumped by someone?
Do they have anything in common - interests, background, experience, education?

H, lookit this!
Mara and I are like a couple of crows viciously pecking away at the same snail (that'd be you, BTW), and... lovingly, of course, because... we... want to see you succeed. :hmm::weird:

We have a couple of somethings in common, both a goal and approach.
She'd make good flirt material for me but I suspect probably poor seduction material because... honestly I think seduction is a farce and she's too smart for it. I know it and if she doesn't know it then she'd be instantly unattractive to me.

Seduction is a game. A game of let's pretend.
Oh, here, I know all the chicks and babes here @ IT will find this sexy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seduction (Ray w/ his perverse usage of wikipedia. Oooo, baby!)
In colloquial language and fictional literature, seduction is the process of deliberately enticing a person, to lead astray, as from duty, rectitude, or the like; to corrupt, to persuade or induce to engage in sexual behaviour. The word seduction stems from Latin and means literally "to lead astray". As a result, the term may have a positive or negative connotation. Famous seducers from history or legend include Lilith, Giacomo Casanova and the character Don Juan. Seduction as a phenomenon is not the subject of scientific interest, although similar, more specific terms like short term mating, casual sex or mating strategies are used in Evolutionary psychology. Internet enabled the existence of Seduction Community which is based around pseudoscientific discourse on seduction.
Seduction, seen negatively, involves temptation and enticement, often sexual in nature, to lead someone astray into a behavioral choice they would not have made if they were not in a state of sexual arousal. Seen positively, seduction is a synonym for the act of charming someone — male or female — by an appeal to the senses, often with the goal of reducing unfounded fears and leading to their "sexual emancipation".

Uh... yeah.
I ain't game for that.
I'm too... uh... "unsofistikated" fer that.
Maybe I could go for the evolutionary psychology aspect.

H, d'ju watch 'Kinsey'? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinsey_(film)
There might be something useful in that for you.
Also try 'A Dangerous Method.' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Dangerous_Method

Read romance novels. Then tone it down from there. Remember men and women think differently. If you want "him's" seduction to come off as real life it would probably be pretty crappy. Most guys really suck at seducing women. Also read "How to Win Friends And Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. The principles in that book work for most sales type situations. Seduction is selling yourself as a lover to women (or men, no judgement here).
