90+ views no comments/feedback. *sad face* I can only imagine the prospect of a conversation after a funeral isn't too appealing to you all... So... Lets try little more 'tease' in the tag...

At last a comment!

I liked the regional accents (spent 10 years in Manchester).

I thought the framing and camera work was a little claustrophobic (no distance shots to set the scene in the pub, or even a shot of the pub from outside to give it some context)
The background noise was too muted and gave the impression that they were in an empty room off a quiet bar.

The Sepia tone as too much for me - I know that lot of Manchester is actually sepia in real life, especially in the older pubs but as it is quite sepia enough you can live without the added sepia tone.

The constantly moving camera as also too much for me (just a matter of taste though).

I like where the story was going but the dialog didn't drive the narrative quickly enough - you could have fitted the same plot and characterization in using half the time you did.

I liked it overall and the lead character was well played - good actor.

Sorry it's all negative - but that's the point of criticism. I'd like to see more though.

Wow, dude. It definitely kept me hooked, though I can really see why it didn't get that many views.

There's a lot of promise in this, but it's all hidden underneath boring cinamotography and too much dialogue. The dialogue was good, but you need action with dialogue. It would have been nice to see the upset guy walk out to the balcony outside to smoke a cigarette or something. Maybe do a bump of coke. Little things like that, keep the audience entertained while they listen to the heavy dialogue. It's like the difference between the boring lecture day in school and movie day. You still get the story, but you get entertained while you hear the story.

Now the story was what made it awesome, which is why I foresee a promising career. You kept it simple and gave the audience just enough to let their imaginations run wild with it. It's a nice piece, but you really just need to work on your technical craft.

Good luck on the next film.

Liked it. I'd agree with the porevious posters that visually it's a little hard to take. I hate shakey cam to start with but combine it with that claustrophic 3 camera angle feel you've got there and it becomes a bit of a slog. I think the dialogues very well written. There's some repitition in there that can be cut and I'd like more out of the final revelations. The touches of humour are excellent. Would have loved there to be more of them but I realise tonally that can be tough. Your actors are strong.
