film-school Film Schools in Canada as a US resident?

Hello! I've wanted to move to Canada (either Halifax or Toronto) since I was a child. Now I have been planning my schooling and I really, really want to go to school over there. I've done research, found some good schools, etc.
Anyone on here go to school in Canada from the US or any other country? I just want some advice and all of that If anyone has any recommended universities or schools and etc, that would really be appreciated as well.
I am a writer, so my skills lay in screenwriting. I did, however, want to dabble in directing (and maybe acting) as well.

Have you considered Vancouver?

A lot of the grumbling down here in LA is that the work is moving up there. Definetly good for trying your luck at acting anyway.
