BTW..did you shoot in 1280x720 24p ???

Might suggest trying to render at full HD in MOV and use Handbrake to compress ???

If I remember correctly there are some codecs you might need to compress well natively in Vegas, but I's been a while for me...GOOD LUCK

hey i really appreciate your help because you are always the first one to reply on all my questions ! but i had no luck with handbreak . i rendered in vegas to full hd like you said to a MOV file but when i used hand break it actually made the video look sowaht worst on youtube here is hte link http://youtu.be/cg_j0L5ODLs . i dont know what it is that i am doing wrong but this is making me sick !

Relax.. you will find a way... this is wha learning is all about.. what presets did you use on Handbrake ?

Did it look good on the raw file? what are the specs of the computer you are using ? what video card specs ?

The YT vid did look very compressed.

now that u mention it the raw video did not look good on the raw, actually about the same as the YouTube video.on handbrake i didn't change any settings the only thing i did was add web optimized and added reference frames to 4. the computer i am using at the time is a regular Compaq desktop

AMD Athlon II X2 240 Dual-Core Processor (2.8 GHz, 2MB Cache, 4000 MHz System Bus)
4GB OF RAM
WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 64BIT

Looks like something I get with my 2Ti sometimes. As such maybe the issue is with your footage. Did you ever see the card buffer filling up? Even if recording didn't stop the camera could of dropped frames.
Hard to spot on the LCD but try playing the original file off the camera with the HDMI out if you have a cable and look for the problem. If it is on original footage not much you can do except try a faster card next time.

Sp, I am not technical enough to know why this is happening but I use Vegas too. In fact I started getting rendering issues when I upgraded to Vegas Pro 11. Normally I don't foolishly upgrade so soon but I wanted to start messing around with Twixter so...but I digress.

I found this new render workflow that, when researched, many vouched for as the best way to render for YouTube. Here's the linky ---> http://www.bubblevision.com/underwater-video/Vegas-YouTube-Vimeo.htm. I must advise you thios workflow requires a few more steps than your normal Vegas render effort and also more software (and even more software if you shot your video interlaced. Don't worry about the software as all of it is free. But I feel that you have to stick to the instructions to get this right so I just bookmarked the page as a checklist (until I perfect the workflow).

So far I have only used it once but my final render resulted in a smaller file that did look much better than what Vegas was producing for me. Now this may or may not remedy your issue here (as the source file may be the problem) but I am not technical enough to speak to that. However, I know where you are coming from and wanted to try everything I could to boost the quality of my final render.

I hope this helps and good luck.

sounds like you may have a codec on your computer conflicting with mpg output on vegas.
Render it off as an avi microsoft video 1 compression that should be fine.

Unless of course its on original video footage.
