Help needed

Ok my script is going ok but i am having problem with 2 charactors in it. The first charactor i am going the right direction with. I want people to hate him but all i am getting is people do not like him. I want it so when he eventually dies that people will cheer his death. How can i get him from people don't like him to that level of hate.

The second charactor i am failing with. I am trying to make her strang and wierd to the extreem level. She likes to be strang and wierd and goes to great lenghts to make this happen. All i am getting out of her from people is that she does not speak normal. This is wat to watered down of a reaction. How do i get her to the extreem i need.

Please help with suggestions on how to get these 2 charactors right. I am getting the reactions i want from all my other charactors. These 2 charactors are important to the script and i feel they need to be that extreem for there role. thank you.

I think Knowing the story would help a little bit. Maby for the character you want people to hate you can have him do somthing really messed up to a friend or family member like maby kill them to get somthing he wanted like money or somthing. Its very hard to help since i dont know the story or what the script is going to be about.

it's a horror movie the one i want people to hate is a detective investagating the killings. He is not the big bad.

Sounds more like back-story stuff. What kind of person do people hate? Someone who beats his wife? Skins live cats? Drops puppies in boiling water? Likes limburger cheese and onion sandwiches on garlic bread and never bathes? Or is it just every day, garden variety deceitfulness, backstabbing, lying cheating, stealing and other forms of corruption? Maybe he's on the take, protecting druggies and child rapists.

Think about other characters we all love to hate. Why do we hate them?

Keep in mind that it's the actors job to bring that out in the performance.
