Nice work! Beautiful, contemplative.

I wish you would've shown more of the hawk. The hawk sequence was way too short. The squirrel story was a bit strange.

Nice music, nice focus manipulation with shallow DOF.

Hey thanks a lot!!

I know - I wish the hawk scene would be longer. But as it snowed a lot during the days we were filming, it was not possible to fly a hawk. So all we got is him with the hawk on the arm. Thats a really nice picture but it doesnt allow much more varieties then what you see in the film...

Wonderful work, Tim. Very engaging. A bit cringe-enducing when
he started killing all the squirrels. Was kinda hoping he'd go the other way and feed them or live and let live.
Oh well. Love the location. Reminds me of home, back in New Hampshire.

Cool that you got permission to use the Sigur Ros tune!

* forgot to mention that it reminded me of the doc "Dead River Rough Cut" about two brothers who lived in a cabin in the deep woods of Maine. If you haven't seen it, you might enjoy it.

Haven't seen it - thanks for the recommendation!! ;)

Thanks for putting this up Tim.

It looks sublime. What a wonderful eye you have. I couldn't help but have a look at some of your other work like "alone". Magnificent.

Beautiful. I LOVE those shots that you made look miniature. As a general rule, I don't think focus should be played with in post, but this is the exception. I think the miniature look you've employed is very cool, and you used it successfully.

What's up with all those shots that don't fill-up the screen? Letterboxes on all four sides? Why?
